Hey, pal. I've got only one question and I would highly appreciate if you could answer me. The fact is, Disney a little time ago came out with a special edition of the movie. It was a two-disc collection. The dvd one's content had the movie and some games. DVD two's content had a great making of video with some more games. We had Elton John talking about his effort to compose The Lion King Soundtrack Melody. So I wonder if we have the same kind of content in this collection. Could you answer it?

@danielll2 Disney's Diamond Edition Blu-Ray's always come with many great special features. Each film usually comes with a brand new feature length documentary as well as hours of new features. Also, each Diamond Edition has an "Archives" section which includes all the original special features from that film's DVD release. So, in short, Yep you will get the old DVD special features PLUS brand new features... which might I add, are some of the best produced home video docos that I've ever seen.

To each his own, but I personally like the packaging. Besides, you could just slide them out top side down, and Blu-Rays don't scratch as easily as DVDs.

@MandyFilet thats just amazon writings, its like wiki, not everything is 100% accurate. Trust me, Lion KIng blu-ray from US is region free. 3D disc and bonus disc are also region free. Just the dvd is region 1. And if you get from France (amazon.fr) trilogy is also region free

That eight-disc sleeve is terrible. The disc art is also terrible. They should have included blu-ray boxes, just in case you wanted to display them normally in a regular blu-ray display. Now there's an issue because in order to get 2 & 1 1/2 you have to pick up this drum. Just a letdown for such an expensive set. Good unboxing review though.

the packaging does look bad but the case should be fine if you put those Velcro straps on when you dont need a disc. Its not like your going to open up both hooks and hold the case upside down to get a movie out.

After watching this I started to look to see if this is available in the uk and i found a set which has all 3 films on bluray with the soundtrack of the lion king and the broadcast recording and a bonus features disk. Also it all comes in a stained wood box numbered up to 3000 copies!!

Anyone else disappointed how the DVD and Blu-Ray logos on Disney's discs overshadow the movie titles now?  Sure, you could tell the Blu-Ray of "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" apart from the DVD now, but if you don't look closely enough at the DVDs, you might put "The Lion King 1 1/2" in instead.
