My favorite Hellion song is "Tower of Air" --- there are a couple versions of it on You Tube. On that song the singer's tone reminds me of Ronnie James Dio (RIP).

Amongst thousands of heavy metal/hard rock solos done during the "hairband" era, this solo by Chet stands out among most of them. It's got sort of a Nuno "funk" vibe going for it with a tasteful use of palm mute runs.

Ann Boleyn was the first female singer to sing metal seriously. She still sounds killer, too. She has such an amazing voice that she sounds great with speed metal or with more classic power metal too. I still enjoy this music.

I like both the early Hellion for its raw power. This line-up is very good though also, but a but more polished and produced sounding.

Barlam was very young when he joined Hellion. He was the rhythem guitarist when he joined, but he got a lot better as the band matured.

alan barlam is not on this video. alan barlam kicked ann boleyn the singer out of Hellion after she got ronnie james dio's wife to help hellion. alan barlam found a singer called richard pariko to take Ann's place.  ann went and got Chet Thompson who is in this video. everybody who was in the music busines thought she made a mistake in taking alan barlam back a couple years later because after they recorded the black book he quit again

i heard a couple weeks ago that detente was getting back together to tour this summer and that ann boleyn might be the singer

but i haven't seen any tour dates mentioned anywhere

From what I hear Detente is only doing one show. And nobody still knows who the singer will be. But I am still hearing it is either Ann Boleyn or Doro.

Awesome to find this video. Chet Thompson's solo to this song was one of my favorites during the metal era. Took me awhile to learn it but eventually I got it down.
