i do think your mostly right ...the UK ending was way better and our ending ruined the show but beside those facts i think our cast was better i mean john simm is great sure but jason omara harvey keitel and even gel moren...i also think we did a better job creating the show ...if abc didnt change the day it would still be on...but remember there has been an anoucement Ted Turners TNT may pick up the show and act as if the last show never happened..feel free to disagree

no way!! uk version was way better. harvey keitel doesn't even come close to phil glenister as gene hunt and john simm would act the socks off that omara bloke any day of the week. it was a totally unique idea set around our TV shows of the 70's and our music and fasion. your version is just a word for word, scene for scene rip off with no real substance or identity of it's own. keitel is a great actor, but in this he isn't convincing at all. it's a pale imitation of the original, our version!!!

Philip Glenister was a much better Gene Hunt.

With lines like:

If it wasn't for that fact that he traveled back into time I wouldn't really like this show as much. I give the show a B- as it is but if you took away the time tavel thing Id only give it a C- the stories are good just not done all that well. I can't see this show lasting more than a few seasons.

I dont usually judge a tv proram before watching it but to be honest that looks like they just nicked the script of the original and got new people to read it because they have accents.

I'm not saying they can't remake it but they could at least come up with a vaguely new story, surely...???

My sympathies to those having to watch this US version instead of the original - the UK one is funny. Sam and Gene are the central driving force and these 2 are not in the same league as John Simm and Philip Glenister!

Get hold of the BBC original if you want to see how it should be with the real Sam Tyler and Gene Genie!

Sure, but there's a lot different about it too. Nothing is completely original these days. Something made from scratch would likely be more formulaic.

I enjoyed the US version of the office, and hopefully this will be good too.
