I can totally identify! I was in a Paxil coma for 6 years,I of course didn't know why I didn't care about anything or why everyone I cared about didn't matter to me. I just kept upping my dose and eventually just decided I didn't want to increase. So, I weaned off of it, with HORRIFIC withdrawals! It was like all of these emotions that had been numbed by Paxil came all at once and the brain zaps, dreams, and physical things were unreal. Now I am trying to pick up the pieces...with Gods grace!!!
@4Afterglow thank you for sharing... yes i also agree with what you say.. i pray this never happens to me again.. i hope people see this before its too late.. this is REALLY bad and when i started taking it and saw warning videos ob youtube i was like "oh whatever, it aint all that bad" boy was i wrong.... really wrong.
head shocks are not joke. I think if anyone needs anykind of antidepressant they should got to a mental health facility if they have access to one because they will at least start you out ona low dosage of what they think may be the best choice for you and then they even want you to come back each week and keep contact withyou during the adjustment period and help you change scripts if that is what is needed. to be fair to paxil everyone is different and what works foryou is diff for others

I know the feeling of paroxetine/paxil withdrawal, drs. don't caution their patients about it, i thought i was going to die...it started with the brain zaps, and a sound in my head like a strong wind (whooshing sounds) the pain in the muscles and bones, the sweating, and omg the nightmares was terrible.
I'm back on paxil, it's the withdrawal i can't deal with.
