  • WOW! I think that is the most suspenseful soap scene I've ever seen in my life! Outstanding acting! And the music!

  • I remember that scene with Todd walking up the stairs like it was yesterday. I don't know why it always stuck with me, but it always did, and still does give me chills.

  • this is so hard to watch. but i realize now that Todd is so self centered. RH does such an awesome job that we love Todd anyway. Todd is so hurt, we can see how hurt he is and this causes him to reevaluate everything the pregnancy lie wasn't about him It was about Blair and her insecurities, her past, her childhood. But Todd takes it so hard, like it was purposefully done to him and he doesn't try to understand her. Todd is so sensitive, he could never forgive but people forgave him all the time

  • Stomach in knots! What a frightening and uncomfortable scene. To me the scariest moments in this clip are the hand on the railing and him taking off his jacket - subtle but the meaning behind them is scary as hell.

This belt scene stuff is like watching Jaws; you know what is lurking right below the surface but you don't quite see it all.

RH is either the best actor in history or has a bit of a demon in him for being able to play evil so well!

  • I have NEVER seen such quality acting. Omg, did anyone notice how RH can change is eye color? Look at 4:58, they are hazel and by 7:12 they are black and filled with rage. Also, when he jumps off the bed at 9:46, I swear it looks like he changes personalities. You can see it in his face and eyes. I think Todd really had DID. But wow RH, is the best actor ever.

  • @BlueOrchidMoon77 Holy crap, you're so right about the eye color thing, his eyes were totally black there! Scary!

  • Shivers!!!!! Why wasn't Blair on the phone to the cops, for crying out loud?! RH was TRULY frightening in this scene...add the "Todd Music"....YIKES!

  • Holy balls, when he walks up the stairs and his "evil" theme is playing in the background...I think I had a heart attack.

  • There's a FINE line btw true love & deep hate. Theses scenes convey these emotions & so much more. It was terrifying & satisfying @ the same time. To this day, it's still my favorite T&B scene. No two other actors, I have ever seen have the level of chemistry like Roger & Kassie share. It's RAW, It's PASSIONATE, they're acting "soul mates"....PERIOD! Who ever was responsible that year for pulling the Emmy robbery on Roger & Kassie should have been FIRED DAMNIT!!!

  • @madamhummingbird I totally agree MH

  • Wow.. Well I guess we see why he never wanted to sleep with Tea.

  • @msmarisol555 Perhaps he didn't want to sleep w/Tea because he didn't love or desire her as a woman in a romantic way. It's interesting that many blaim Blair or her relationship w/Todd for why he didn't desire Tea. Maybe he had "Mommy issues" that caused his lack of sexual desire for Tea. Maybe he subconsciously saw Tea as a mother figure. She often behaved like a parent to a child with him. He resumed lovemaking w/Blair many times following this scene. He continued to pursue Blair many times.

  • "You're not a man. You're not even human." "Well, then we were made for each other." In my opinion those were the best lines in this clip. The combination of Roger's amazing delivery (the way he speaks, the look on his face) and the perfectly timed close up make it an extremely memorable moment. The rest of the clip after that is quite a rush as well, but those lines set the mood for it all. Especially since Todd has said more than once that they "were made for each other", and he was right.

  • Wow, I remember these scene like it was yesterday. The looks that he gave her scared the mess out of me the everytime I watch this. This was great acting from both RH and KDP. I felt both of their pain. I cried when he told her that he is glad the baby is dead and that he hopes she doesn't have another one. I can't believe they didn't win a Emmy for this. Who made that messed up decision? Thank you for posting these.

  • Wait, when Todd says he hopes Blair never has another baby and she looks horrified and she's on the stairs Todd looks like he has a moment of clarity. I faintly hear him say I'm sorry. All the other lies don't cancel out what she said about the baby to get him to marry her. He turns back into Todd who is absolutely frightening~

  • I'll be honest he scares the crap out of me lol. When he tells her he's glad the baby's dead and he curses her to never have another one man that was crazy evil.

  • These are the scenes that stick out in your mind, even 16 years later. The intensity those actors showed....it's pure, unadulterated talent. The range of emotion they bring to the table makes us, as the viewer, feel everything they feel. This was OLTL at it's finest.

Also, RH at his finest! I love how Blair says she's not scared, all the while shaking in fear, lol.

On a side note, Roger can menacingly hover over me like that any day. And please, don't stop at the belt!

  • Why is this called the belt scene??

  • @bevendy5 Nevermind, I figured it out

  • Close to the end, in the bedroom she SHOULD have just SHUT UP.

  • I've never seen such scary soap in my life! RH and KDP knocked this outta the park. It's riveting. And if you aren't begging Blair to shut up and your heart isn't pounding when Todd walks up those stairs, you're just not human!

Someone please tell me little Starr isn't in there!

  • @cheetahinireland18 LMAO......isn't that the truth.......when RH walks up those stairs......one of the most dark and nastiest moments ever.......because you just KNOW!!!!!!!!! I agree why KDP AND RH didn't get Emmy's for this scene alone is beyond me!!!!!!!

  • @cheetahinireland18 Yes-she is pregnant with Starr there-pretty horrible, I know. Perhaps the most intense scene in soap history-and Sonny and Brenda have nothing on this...

  • @cheetahinireland18 Todd even warns her she's about to step in it at 6:39 "Now be careful" and 6:50 "I'm warning you Blair." But nope she sees those big "push me" buttons and can't resist.

  • I had to come back and watch some of my favorite scenes because I caught up =[ .. And oh man these scenes..RH had so much angst and passion in his portrayal of Todd in these scenes.. If you weren't in love with Todd at this point, I think it was here he made the audience feel for the "monster"...And oh how he growls out the word "whore." Just awesomeness from RH as always.

  • The way he say "whore"gives me chills.

  • Blair just doesn't know when to shut up!!

  • omg he makes evil look sexy as hell..lol can you say...YUMMY

  • it's not easy to watch it but you can't help it....he's UNREAL and so is SHE....these scenes must have been so emotionally draining for them....and they so deserved those Emmys.

  • These 2 should have won Emmys that year. Sadly, there is no drama like this on soaps today. And no Todd Manning, that's for sure.

  • @izzatluv I think that everytime I watch this scene......how did they both not win emmy's this year?? I wonder it RH scared KDP in these scenes......if it even took her by surprise, because she never had scenes with "todd" in this mood so she had to be blown away too!!!!!! LOL

  • @izzatluv that dang music when he starts up those steps and runs his hand along the rail.......it such a throw back to evil fratboy Todd all over!!!!!!!

  • @izzatluv Roger Howarth is coming back tomorrow!!!!!!

  • @julienkip Thank god!!!!!
