  • Kickass! :D

  • sweet track ! oh my god :)

  • Nexus is not a good quality . Spectrasonics Omnisphere is always better

  • @TurkishMusicianPr Thanks for your views, nexus isn't that bad actually, (see the reviews), I know Omnisphere is a cracking synth that I WANT!, but can't afford at the moment.

  • @dazzy1975 yea i know . I also use Nexus for my electronic and trance productions . Everything is finished at good audio mix and pre mastering . By the way your work is cool , mate ! Keep it . P.S : Add some riff leads with filtre :)

  • how do you get nexus installed in cubase? do you have to have a midi keyboard to do it?

  • hey man! i think u use nice vst & vsti, you are a great producer! Greetings of Dave Division, from Spain.

  • i dont know man, nexus doesnt really do it for me, i use it but its not good quality..

  • @thestash16 I am starting to feel a bit like that, not sure if it's because I am used to the sounds, but I am getting more into Massive & DCam synth squad, to do some experimenting and stuff. Nexus is great for off the shelf sounds, I must admit, but I need to experiment and make my own patches.

  • Love this.

  • your hobby costs at least 400$ (the powercore dsp card). or how else do you run the virus?

  • @AORNOfficial Thanks for checking my video out, it is an expensive hobby, I've decided not to buy any more vsti for now and just get the most out of the stuff I have at the moment. I bought the Powercore second hand from ebay, paid about £150 for it, decided to keep it though as was considering selling it, but it is great.

  • @dazzy1975 thanks for the reply. you are really good at what you do. do you have the powercore express for pci, or some older model? I found on ebay an older model for about 150$, but if I buy it I want to be sure that it can run the powercore virus, that's the only reason why I wanna buy it :D

  • @neogeouk Hi there, thanks for checking out my video, when you say "frequency" I am presuming you mean the filter I am using, and that's all it is, I have a highpass filter on the bass at 1.10-1.15 and bring that down so the bass kicks in. Cubase does have it's own built in filters, which I use and I am sure theres also one included in SX3 aswell.

  • wow... wat do u use for piano roll

    pencil mouse or midi keyboard?

  • very nice to post this darrin. and so glad to bump into it..i want to get my guitar to soft synth and use these vst..you displayed as a start..good luck to you!

  • pretty sweet stuff. i just dled cubase and i have no musical software experience. but apparently you need all these vsts? do you have any tips as to which ones i should be looking for in particular? im kinda going all over the place. (are the halion or whatever ones that come with cubase good)?

  • @DontTakeCrack Which version of cubase have you got? Halion player is ok for standard sounds, piano's and the like (the one that comes with cubase), there are some sweet sounds in that. The other vsti's that come with cubase (5) are pretty good too, although not really used them.. What sort of music are you wanting to produce? If it's dance orientated, then take a look at refx's nexus, Stylenth 1, Disco DSP Discovery (supposed to be a nord lead 2 style synth sound),NI's massive, there are loads.

  • @dazzy1975 cubase 5. probably trance or something soul/jazzy hiphopish. i got novation for the trance and ive been playing around with the ones that came with it. i dont have an actual keyboard but the virtual one has been pretty good

  • CAN ME PLEEASE COLLAB?!?! OMFG PLEEASE INBOX ME

  • Amazing song man :)

  • Very nice song. Do you use a keyboard too ? How to link on the computer ?

  • @gabcibertech Yes, I use a Novation Remote 49LE controller, just hooked up through the USB socket.

  • @dazzy1975 A very nice song.

I have the Ableton Life on the pc and recently buy the ReFX with some bundle with sounds (the CD have to be delivery here in Brazil). I have a Roland keyboard but I think its better to use a keyboard controller intead. I want to do some songs to put on youtube too ;)

  • check this song, it was made with cubase 5 !! Daniele Naxos Sunset

  • well done! I try to teach me cubase5, I have done music for many years in MadTracker 2 and d last few years I have been using fl studio 9 .. hold on and teach me cubase5 and uses Yamaha KX49 midi controller, Roland ua-25ex SoundCard, active monitors KRK rp 8G2 (TRS) will be fun then when I learned the program:)

  • @Lazzo1981 Madtracker 2, now that's one that I've not heard of for a while, i used to use OctaMED SoundStudio, but needed something a bit more versatile, cubase is a steep learning curve, I have been using it for a couple of years now, and I've still only scratched the surface, I think I need to read the instruction booklet, but it's so thick lol, but I do love cubase and I think I will make it my mission to read the booklet lol

  • Mind.In.A.Box - Lucid Dreams 1 of their 2007 album Crossroads. That drove me crazy for about an hour since I recognized the sound at the beginning of this video but couldn't remember where.

  • wow I really liked the song, better than some pro names in the industry.

  • soo nice!!!

  • i like it .. can i have it mp3 ?

  • NICE TRACK YOU GOT THERE. I WOULDN'T HAVE NAMED IT "Creation..." CAUSE IT MAY MAKE PEOPLE THINK THIS IS SOME SORT OF TUTORIAL FOR CUBASE. I JUST FINISHED MAKING A TRACK USING SEVERAL INSTANCES OF NEXUS, 2 SYLENTH AND BATTERY 3. THE TRACK SOUNDED PRETTY GOOD IN MY COMPUTER WITH EARPHONES. HOWEVER I RENDERED IT AND LISTENED TO IT AGAIN, THIS TIME IN MY HOME THEATER AND IT SOUNDED AWFUL. I'VE BEEN ABLE TO EQUALIZE IT A LITTLE BIT AND IT'S BETTER NOW BUT NOT PERFECT YET. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS

  • @maroni009 Hi Maroni thanks for listening to my track, as for yours, I'm no expert in the mastering field, but one thing you should never do is eq anything with headphones, they add bass and the like, so what sounds good in them, will sound bad on a normal system, the best thing to do is hook your PC up to a proper system, and listen to music in your style that has been mastered and do a comparison, and try to eq it the same to get the best sound out of it, there are alot of other techniques too

  • @maroni009 you need compressor

  • Sorry but the "pluin sound" is NOT as "full," FAT and unique as the REAL ACCESS VIRUS TI2! I just got one btw, UNREAL!!!

And i have all the major ones: nexus, vanguard, omnisphere, rob papen's, etc.

people should stop wasting your time with plugins too much and get real hardware synths. I would say this... 70% hardware, 30% plugins.

  • @LittleNegrillio Hi thanks for listening, it will definately not sound as good as a TI2 as the powercore is only a Virus B, still a great synth to have in your arsenal though, I have to admit, I love hardware and miss my Virus C, will get some more hardware when I get the money, but I have to say, vsti's these days sound great, but still slightly lack the warmth of hardware, I do agree, hardware rules.

  • @dazzy1975 I agree.

    I just got a TI2. Amazing!

And also, I don't know if you have this: "MINOMOOG V?"

Holy shiatz! That is one amazing plugin! I spent hours upon hours last night playing with that thing!

I was going to buy a Juno 106. NOT ANYMO!

    -Sebas

  • @LittleNegrillio

    I agree.

  • @LittleNegrillio well hardware is somewhat limited really software synths are takin over thats for shore some ov the softsynths out there are unreal most pro trance tracks will all be make with soft synths now not hardware mainly plugins

  • @LittleNegrillio pfffffffffffffff

  • Am I the only one who liked it? 0.o

  • yeh man ! quality software some of the best you can get :)

  • If anyone is interested, the Powercore is up for sale, UK Only, please check Ebay "TC Electronics Powercore Unplugged & Access Virus Synth".

  • dazzy1975: stop replying to people that don't like your stuff. There will always be people that don't like your work, even if you're making THE best track of ALL TIME... there will still have people to hate on you. So dude, hear this: your tracks good, and you did a pretty good job on that one. Keep it up.

  • @crunk4124 thanks so much for the input, and I will stop replying to them, I mainly go on the saying, if you've got nothing good to say, then don't say anything, thanks so much for checking out my track, I've not had any time to work on it lately, but will post a link as soon as I get somewhere with it. Thanks again :-)

  • This is pretty boring for Trance, not really feeling any emotion in it. No way in hell you bought all this equipment unless you decided not to eat for a few months.

  • @DJCosmicRift it was a work in progress, and yes i purchased all this stuff, what makes you think I didn't, I am actually putting the powercore up for sale in the next few days, check ebay!

  • boooooooorrrrring!

  • @surfshark13 no one asked you to listen to it, and thanks for the constructive critisicm lol

  • in negative .... good work

  • Nice song! i wonder if the powercore virus is running smoothly wiout any problem on Windows system?? iam thinking of buying it soon if people say its working good.. thx

  • @mproductionsmusik Hi, the powercore works fine for me, especially with the new update, before the update, you could just tweak the filter and it would go out of sync, it is so much better now. I am using the Powercore PCI mark 2 (if I remember) the barebones one and just have the standard license on the virus, although, thinking about getting a unlimited license for it, would be much better :-)

  • realy GOOD !!!!! Greatz from Germany

  • sounds really good man! subscribed! ;D

  • How you doing? nice track. just got battery. what drums are you using? if i get drum sample cd i.e. electro do i just drag and drop edit etc? and how do you layer drum please?

  • @cortezforever I am using vengeance essential club sounds, use the browser in Battery and just drag and drop to the cell you want, or highlight the relevant cell and double click on the drum sound you want.

  • Just to let you all know, this track will be available free for download when completed, please add it as a favorite and keep checking back.

  • Yeah mate, all drums on the same channel except for the percs, and some hats (loops), glad you like the tune though, not had much time to do anymore on it yet though :-(

  • Good tune you've got there. Do you have all the drums from Battery on the same channel by the way?

  • 2:12 change the melody ;)

  • Thanks dude, was thinking the same, as it's a work in progress, it will be done :-)

  • Made a mistake on the powercore, it's version 3.2
