  • 2 Million? Ha.

  • everyone who is interested in going green should check out Earthships they are made from completely recycled materials by hand and are fully self sustainable with in-home and outdoor garden growing all the necessary food for survival!

  • To put it another way, burning a gallon of jet fuel produces 21.095 lbs of CO2, so 45,312 pounds of CO2 result from just one step in achieving this wonderful example of 'sustainability'. Congrats!

  • I love it, sustainable, what a great word. Using Chinooks to ferry house parts doesn't strike me as very sustainable. Assuming a gutted 747 weighs in at 60,000 pounds that means at least 3 round trips, each expected to be about 2 hours in duration. Chinooks burn 2400 pounds of fuel an hour, 6 hours of operation results in 14,400 pounds of fuel burn to move 60,000 pounds of aluminum scrap. 14,000 pounds equates to 2,148 gallons, at USD 3.00 a gallon that is a fuel bill of 6,444 USD.

  • An airplane called, it want's her wings BACK!!!

  • i'd love a room in the cockpit

  • To all people who wanna know how much a boeing 747 cost's and how it's been taken apart, I say: Watch National Geographic breaking up the biggest - Boeing 747 (You can find this documentery on youtube :) ).

  • 200 million $

  • I have to laugh. All of you hippie lib-tards bitching about who can be the greenest moron. Look, unless you live in Gilligans hut, there WILL be some pollution if you build. STFU.

  • I want to do this when I get the money! I want a 747 though for maximum living space :) I wonder how much one of those cost.....?

  • She has big old titties, so that makes up for her lack of being 'Green'

  • Very cool, I've seen houses like this on "Extreme Homes"

  • all it takes is tons of green backs

  • so a helicopter burning fuel is "green"

  • these people are CRAZY. this is nonsense

  • i fucken hate rich people

  • If i had a boeing, i'll make it watertight, and live in it underwater, BOEING FTW!

  • How else were they supposed to get the materials there that is complety green? By a mule? Even the greenest of houses have to be un-green in the making of them. Why does it seem that people have to actually have to bitch about stupid things when it's not that bad...

  • update: her home was hijacked by muslims.

  • The very next day she made a "green house" made of recycled Concorde`s the best feature is how the 50 recycled engines can be turned on at once to boost her attention whore richbitch powers.

    *she turns on the engines*

*The ozone layer gets fucked up*

    OUR HERO!*

Let me guess... next week she is going to make a "green home" made out of recycled wood covered with panda skin...

  • NOW WE CAN MAKE PLANES MADE OUT OF SHITTY OLD PLANES! AND THAT JUST FOR 5 TIMES THE MONEY A NORMAL HOUSE COSTS!

And the best part! IT DOES NOT SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT AT ALL!

Green house my girlfriends shiny ass...

What a fucking hero i say...

Kill that attention seeking way too rich whore.

  • If I had the money, I would maybe do something like this. But I would never push it off as saying it was a "Green project." If she wanted to truly go green, we have read the ways below. She could have easily donated some of the money she spent. It looks so natural too, in the wooded area where she is displacing the wildlife for her green home. Meditation chamber, who is she Darth Vader?

  • That woman is fucking retarded in so many ways I can't even begin to explain. Recycling my fucking ass...

  • I thought it meant she like Lived in a working jet that takes off and lands but this is just as cool

  • Green as in Greenbacks. Rich people and their toys.

  • This should be called "The Bungalow Boeing"

  • "only kid on her block" how is she a kid shes at least 40

  • @03MARA01 They actually said "a new skid on the block".

  • @AlphaFirefly nah he definitly said " NOW FRANCIE REHWALD WILL BE THE ONLY KID ON HER BLOCK WITH A BUNGALOW MADE FROM A BOEING" its even in the description, scroll down to the bottom. on the video its at 1:53

  • @03MARA01 Sigh... they say alcoholics do not get irony...

  • everyone in this video sounds like a terrible person

  • @tommy007b The fact that so many of you share my opinion that these people are stupid, selfish, over privileged idiots who have never worked for anything in their lives, restores just a little bit of my faith in humanity.

  • what a waste of time

  • what trash these people are...

  • if they get high in that house, you'll not only be flying, but you will hear the sound of the jets of a boeing too.

  • I hope they get an actual TOILET. God forbid you shit in their bathroom and you gotta pump it out every day

  • is this a rich hobby I'm not aware of it's existence ?

  • @acavideo I don't know, being rich isn't an excuse to live any sort of 'heightened' lifestyle such as mansions or banglows and then preach to the less well off. If anything the rich should be an even more minimal lifestyle because they can afford the green but expensive eco-materials and products that are out of reach to the poor and middle class.

The rich just manupulate the green movement to feel less guilty over their gross overconsumption as another way to keep everyone in line.

  • Another one of those rich people that tries to achieve the pseudo-green lifestyle while (probably) looking down on poorer families as earth-destroying parasites while ironically harming the environment.

Hey building a house out of used airplane parts is neat, but making it as a recreation house on a unused landscape and using those types of transportation resources is stupid. Its her money but I guarantee this smug bitch like her will use this to condemn everybody who isn't like her.

  • People wouldn't mind even eating their own poo for getting publicity. And this idiot wasting 2 million dollars on junk and then using heaps of resources to put up her so called ass-lickin "green" house. Disgrace in the name of society. Hate such bloody publicity stunts.

  • Bitches don't know what to do with there money

  • hawamier.com

  • Stupid smug bitch. What a waste of other energies. Must have left a large carbon print just to put it up. Green This!!

  • this lady saying she is green is retarded lol

  • That's just stupid, 2 million bucks, when we have children starving right here in our own country. Get a life lady.

  • thật sáng tạo

  • Cheesy copy writing; the cheeky innuendo is a little lame. The video is kinda compelling, though. Would have wanted to see more of the 747. Maybe the AP shooter could have gone to where the scrapped plane was being stored for better vid. Also, good point by the others, not really very "green", unless she plans to hike up and down each day to work, then take a bus into the city. Unlikely.

  • omg thats so retarded

  • Genius move. She won't be paying for any mortgage

  • @oliver18754 you forgot water

  • Cheaper and probebly greener to but a house you dumb bitch.

  • How DUMB

  • Its cool but where's the GREEN???

  • Amazing thought.. nice...

  • IT IS INCREDIBLE THUMBS UP

  • This woman is not a "Hippie at heart": she is an idiot who does not deserve her wealth.

  • Oh yeah, if we all could afford to build homes made out of Titanium planes we all would be going Green wouldn't we?

  • @XionXXXX planes are made of aluminum

  • LOOK I'm going green to be an example to others but it's only costing me millions of dollars Whoopee... I seen others as well But of coarse it helps to have lots of money maybe Obama can help spread the wealth around so we can spend lots of money also

  • i find this quite stupid.

  • My Dog. .when see the stupid woman .. 747 to home . .. .The Dog said :

-What how idiot that Woman .. She must Genghis Khan,s wife.. . .Or the owner "Oil Spill"

  • why the fuck would they need a special room for meditating you'd think they could just use any room with the tv off, but no they needed to show how rich they are by spending 2 million dollars and makeing themselves look good by incorrectly labeling a house green when the helicopter caused alot more polution than several cars. these people are dumb shits

  • GREEN HOME? LOL

  • In the mountains of Malibu? Clearly more money than sense.... She'll never be able to sell if for what she's spent... and I suspect that by the end of the job the cost overruns will be significant.

  • haters shut the hell up! greenie liberals are NEVER happy anyways all they do is bitch while living the same as everyone else.

  • @davetileguy Actually I'm pretty sure that bitch in the video is a stereotypical 'greenie liberal from cali' that's a rich housewife and probably tries to get govt to ban anything she doesn't like. Im pretty libertarian and I wouldn't want to stick a law stopping her from her stupidity but I condemn her actions because, well her stupidity and hypocrisy.

  • what a waste of money

  • THE WHOLE THING IS GOING TO COST 2 MILLION DOLLARS? ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING? How the HELL is that going green?

  • Muy muy buena idea, suerte¡

  • rich mother fuckers!

  • haha that's awesome

  • john travolta would love that house. quite true its not green, but its still damn cool.

  • That young chick glasses can also be used as a plate ... that may be the "green" part in this project !

  • 40k?, seems quite a good bargain.

  • Is it sustainable to have a helicopter wasting fuel on transporting parts of a plane?

  • Conservation..costing 2 million dollars. Where the fuck do random people get 2 mill?

  • hahahah...i bet the mountain side cost 1.9 mill hahaha

  • Somehow i dont think this is positive green recycling. That airframe would have been better melted down and turned into more useful things.Aircraft aluminium is high grade so $40k seems bloody cheap to me.

  • Hi Francie, Rather than knock you, you seem to be cashed up enough to care about being green, so, Google - Earthship Biotecture, Michael Reynolds project Earthship.... They have systems that can be incorperated into any home, that make the home environmentally sustainable... make your own power, capture water, grow your own food, recycle effluent etc..... he is currently building homes in New Mexico.. quite interesting... might fit well into your home. Regards. Darcy Jones x

  • id bang her daughter in their "green" house

  • Damn straight

  • Cool, only in California!

  • 'i wanted to go greeen!!11!1' yeah fuck that you just wanted to be different and show everybody how rich your family is. just think, you replaced one house with that 2 mill plane, which to haul in, costed that helicopter GAS. and on top of that, what else are you going to do in this house? she didn't mention anything else like using solar panels, or building a fire pit, just another dumb rich bitch. that heli would have fucked up the planet more than a regular house would have in 10 years..

  • Think about how much jet fuel and emissions were consumed to build this "green" house. Hippies are so ignorant.

  • If I had a Boing I would use the plane as a house without chopping it up so you can't even see that is used to be a plane.

Also, I agree with those people commenting that the plane is not environmental at all. It is just hypocritical.

  • huh yea "green" so airlifting parts in with a chopper isnt a waste.

hate these rich jerks who just go green because its fashionable

  • @anicic What else are you gonna do with a 747? Leave it in a junk yard?

  • This is nothing to do with being green. It's more to do with showing off and having a talking point while telling all your friends how environmentally concious you are. Who the hell can afford to hire a helicopter damn it

  • I would want more than a scrapper home for 2 million bucks. And the cost and CO emissions of the the chopper were???

  • Not a "green" house.

  • Now I know where the NEXT Ca wildfire needs to hit.

  • And it is fucking "GREEN" to use HELICOPTERS in the build????

  • Yea, there is nothing "green" about this project.

  • Wouldn't it be better for the environment to build a home out of already-made materials than new materials? Please. Just because something is expensive, doesn't mean it's green. It would be cheaper if more people did this. But do they? No. Green doesn't mean cheap, green means economical.

  • How else would they have gotten the pieces up there?

  • That is why it's not a "green" project

  • Right on spot mate..... Like at COP15 (big climate meeting in december) in copenhagen, they will all come in their more or less private jets....

  • She seems to be fucking dumb.. Example "Yes lets do it, but first lets go look at an airplane" omfg...

  • $2,000,000-certainly a "green" house

  • Comment removed

  • Personally i think it's more likely she didn't care, she just seems so excited at how cool her house is going to be that whether it was really green or not wasn't on her mind. There is so much hypocracy about environmentalism, the largest CO2 producer in the world is China and they (and India) are both exempt from the Kyoto protocol as developing countries, yet these loons think turning off your TV at night and using long life bulbs will save the planet.

  • Heh? you need to talk about pollution per capita, you can't use absolute terms...what a joker.

  • Of course you can talk in absolute terms!. The absolute amount of CO2 being produced globally is what causes the damage not the per capita level and China is the biggest producer. The fact is China and India are not even included in the debate, in per capita terms or any other, since they are exempt from the Kyoto protocol. Not sure where the joke is in all that

  • CO2 is not a pollutant. It's life.

  • Funny I thought it was a gas

  • Think about an Earth with no CO2. Even we wouldn't be here. It is just as important to us as oxygen and water.

  • Right but, think about a world with too much CO2, an example being Venus. Atmosphere is 95% CO2 and has led to surface temperatures of 460 degrees and pressure 9 times that of earth. Not very conducive to life.

  • In small amounts yes. But when the level rises and rises it is not healthy

  • Yeah, it's not green, but it is kinda cool. It is something to be learned from.

Cash for Clunkers IS a terrible waste. Those old things were dying a natural death that involved recycling parts for optimal use. Now we have wasted materials and more debt. I smell leftist totalitarianism there. This is individual Freedom.

  • The total amount of energy that was used in building this "green house" defeats the purpose of recycling and that includes the flights of that giant helicopter burning fuel.

Real green houses are the ones that the Native Americans used for 10,000 years with no enviromental impact.

  • @alcram

Yes, but like all good liberal idiots, it's not reality that counts, it's what you FEEL you're doing for the "environment" that counts. All about feeling good about oneself, reality be damned :)

  • That is not green at all! The amount of time, energy, fuel, and resources put into this is a huge waste. Why can't she have a home like a normal person? I've never even heard of her anyway. Why is she so special? If she wants to help out environment she could buy normal house and use airplane for metal to use for various products. Disappointing........

  • Those glasses make her look like a bug

  • SOME PEOPLE HAVE MONEY....

  • Nice way to spend money. Waste.

The helicopter she's using to fly this shit in cost 50-grand an hour to operate.

Great if your rich and have nothing better to blow money on...but definetely not green.

  • I read the title as 'Woman turns into airplane" I was dissapoint :(

  • Her daughter's hot.

  • well, that's what she thought- that it was green.. that's her own opinion that she's entitled to.. at least she's making a move towards something she thinks is right.. have you?

  • just "thinking" it is "green" does not make it so. Like all these people junk a good car to buy a new hybrid. They don't take into account the extra energy to make the hybrid batteries and ship it. Most "envriomentalists" do it for style and are ignorant of what is envrionmentally sound. Know who I find knows most about the envrionment? The deer hunters who drive their pickups to the hunting grounds.

  • fair enough point.. i don't really know much about what to do to be "green", but when you do something towards something you think is right, i think you still deserve (even just a bit) of credit.. she just probably forgot or didn't know about the consequences of her house being built.. but anyways, hope they can resolve it..

  • Snobistic..hypocritical.....green faker...these kind of wannabee good people distroy earth and the USA.

  • News Flash: Things that do NOT count as green:

-Using helicopters to fly in 40k worth of old plane.

-Building your home on what would normally be a pristine mountain top

-spending 2 mil on a house that will negatively impact the environment around you.

-Labeling yourself "green" when you make no effort to live in another area where it would be easier to lead a low-impact lifestyle.

Oh look, I let my Labradoodle poop next to that tree. I'm Green cause I'm recycling fertilizer!

  • @starstarstar42 just like owning a prius.... it causes more damage then it solves.

  • well fuck you !! rich bitch !!

  • It is not really a green home if you have to burn so much fossil fuels in the helicopters to build it, just another phony greeen person making a not so green statement!!!!

  • well, not green but modern and beatiful

  • hahaha.. why didnt she use her hybrid to move the airplane? good case of someone that wants to look like they're helping but arent

  • huh people have been doing this for a while, gay...

double u doublw u double u airplanehomes dat com

  • Trying to helicopter a wing of any kind is pretty hard considering how much they spin. Good job chopter jocks.

  • Building a home from recycled parts?

Green or eco my ass, using choppers to move all the parts.

  • crazy woman..

better make a house in an A380..

the house was too small..the a380 is bigger

  • Here's a green idea for ya, moneybags.

Why don't you live in a one room efficiency apartment and donate the 2 million dollars to endow a children's hospital?

  • Comment removed

  • It's a pretty cool idea, but the pretence of it being a 'green' house is totally transparent. Why not just say 'because I wanted to..' rather than follow the sheep and jump in the eco bandwagon?

  • Ofcourse no one did come up with the solution of building a big parashute and 'drop' a flying jumbo out of the sky??

That 'd be arty, and a nice story to your grand-children...

    ...Right? :P (lol)

  • im proud to be a rehwald, cant wait to see u guys ina few days up in california, -tristan rehwald. and news reporter, its Reh-wald (ray -wald) not (ree wald) =P

  • im proud to be a rehwald, cant wait to see u guys ina few days up in california, -tristan rehwald.

  • Hey francie its your family member , Tristan Rehwald remember from the reunion im so excited to come see u and your new airplane home in california in a few days . im proud, ur famous now, hah wendy and ron are excited to we r coming up, from british columbia cant wait.

  • Is it finished now? I'd like to see it finished. I bet it looks amazing! 2 million dollars... wow.

  • Okay, so they fly in big pieces because they can't truck them in, and then they chop up the big pieces. (Why not chop it up then truck it to the site?) They think that a $2 million dollar home is green? You don't need that much space so big is not green even if it was made from recycled materials. What a waste of time and money for plane parts, but it made a nice story for yuppies trying to do the right think while staying sleek. Search for "container homes", and you will see a much better idea.

  • the cans are aluminium not alumium

    lolz

  • how is it being green when it takes helicopters to bring her plane to the land she wants to build her home?

  • oh a meditation pavilion

yes inception from a pathetic Californian

  • maybe you should why you have so much hate?

  • Who cares how much hate I have.

It does not change anything -

    you are still a loser

  • Comment removed

  • I thought this would be an awesome interior modification so that she could live in a flying house... >:(

  • Same

  • She must be willing to live up high and beyond where mere mortals live. Maybe now she thinks she's on cloud 9!

  • Comment removed

  • "Francie", huh? Let me guess: her real name is Delores and she's from Ohio. Moved to L.A. to become an (failed) actress, married a rich guy for his money, and is now just another rich L.A. poser, pretending to be something she is not.

  • You couldn't be more wrong. She's completely autonomous....Most likely unlike yourself...but hey...Everyone makes mistakes.

  • THAT IS VERY IGNORANT

  • If she wanted to recycle, she should've bought and reused an existing home. That's real recycling. Not digging up another plot of nature to build this blight. This is just another silly LA example of showing off.

  • Looks like a heap of garbage, oh wait, it is!.

  • It's garbage you can't afford.

  • lol

  • You're right, I can't afford to pay for garbage. Really?!?! That's the most intelligent comment you can post?

  • LMAO wtfxD

  • I wonder where she will park her "Green" Hummer at?

  • 2 million dollars !!! hardly a hippy home more like rich ........

  • She must be loaded. Just one flight of that Boeing helicopter delivery flight would be in the range of 5-8 thousand dollars for fuel and pilot time. Green my bunghole. Oh it's in Israelibu. Excuse me. Malibu. Figures.

  • A much more sensible option would be to chop them up and truck them in. Airlifting them costs a serious fortune.

  • The only reason they say it's "Green" is because they used recycled material. (Airplane...)

I think this is a pretty cool idea, very creative, but I think I'd spend two million dollars on something else. :P

    Cool idea though.

  • Well people that are commited to green stuff, Always just try to help the earth one way or another. I think this is a great and perfect way to help......ok maybe it IS a waste of money, but hey look at the bright side. I betcha even when all of us have our homes horribleized by hurricanes xD

They'll probably still have theres because its made of a over 500million pound jet or something xDD

  • Lolol true.

  • This isn't green at all.

  • There's nothing "green" about this house except the primer that was on this plane when it was new. Typical "artist" not understanding science. I've dated several "artists" and if they had been nurses, teachers (or smart) I'd probably still be dating one of them.

  • great idea, but don't call it a green house, lol

  • now how efficient is it to fly in your parts if you want a GREEN home?

  • Ridiculous. This is a massive attention-getting scheme, not a legitimately green enterprise, especially since they had to fly the parts in!

  • bloody americans!

  • LUCKY!!! But she could just ship parts of the aircraft un-destroyed/ripped up and use the actual fuselage to build a home. I saw that somebody else did that. Her idea here is good too.
