the only reason they canceled the movie was because activisoin wanted to take spyro on a new path. thats were skylanders came from. i am not sure what will happen after skylanders but the movie was canceled cuz of skylanders:spyro's adventure. coming out fall 2011

There's a chance this might be fake, but I hope not. I hope Cynder is purple in the movie, acording to Sierra's website - it says she's purple in DotD because she was born in the year of the dragon just like Spyro.

No, Cynder wasn't purple to begin with. In ANB, her egg was BLACK, therefore she's a black dragon through and through. The game developer who did DotD didn't bother making Cynder black like she was suppose to be, making her purple instead because they were rushing.

I think the movie will be good, but why do I see a logical fallacy with this guy saying hes working on this film? You guys know his eternal night soundtrack got taken down because of copyrights, though if he worked for Velvet Oct. or Universal, he would be able to have them put back up in a jiffy right? I have all the psx/ps1 & ps2 spyro games. Guess you could say im pretty loyal to spyro & cynder i find cynder alot like me at times for some times i have no clue where i belong. & i kinda think spyro is a lil like me cause he dont take no crap from anyone.I look forward to the movie please keep us posted thanks much.

I dunno if I believe 100% in this movie. And all movies based on games haven't been so fantastic.. I wish they could make a spyro game with more character choosing.. I want Flame and ember back. They should make a game where you could choose between spyro,flame,ember and cynder, and not so much fighting. spyro dotd is all about fighting. they have totally ruined my sight of spyro :/

totally agree with u!!!... the first 3 games were the only good ones in the whole spyro series. And spyro's design has really gone down... Insomniac had him looking like a dragon... now he looks part rat, dog, and at times like a cat :( the game play has gone down as well...

Really, the newer games are different yes. but I still find them as fun as the old ones. They are both good in their own right and both series have something different to offer. I really don't see anything wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with liking the old series better. But there is no need to bash the new series. Just don't play them.

I'm not 100% sure if this is real or not. You'd expect it to show at least some bits from the movie. If I'm wrong (and I really hope so), it'd probably make a great movie, though the first three Spyros were much, much, much better than the new three. Spyro's more about open levels and doing fun missions than fighting and taking things from Lord of the Rings. The new games are okay (though I wasn't mad about Eternal Night), but I'd choose the old games any day.

in my opinion, legend of spyro seems like a good game series. i havent played them so i cant judge. makes sense that they wanted to make more of a backstory about spyro. from the first ps1 game, we see that spyro has to save all the dragons from gnasty gnorch, but before that we dont know.the storyline for the movie, seems interesting. i say we wait and see on how good the movie is.

One other thing. Eragon was based on a book and made into a film. Spyro is not based on a book, but a game. So judging by this video, they are closer to the story line of (The Legend of Spyro: A New Begining).
