How to install 5.03 GEN B

i have the 5.03 GEN B in my psp for a while and it was working perfectly until i accidentally turned it off and the chickhen images were gone from my photos. then i tried to download 5.03 GEN B again and i cant still find the chickhen images in my photos. tell me what should i do??? ill be waiting for your reponse

@kamenriderpsp fortunately not all gamres...but majority of the games my son wants, doesn't appear at all after download...unlike the naruto 3 you use as sample in your 5.03 prometheus video...naruto 3 can be seen but cannot be played just like in your video...so is it possible for me to upgrade from 5.03 genb to 5.03 prometheus in order for my son to play naruto 3? some of my son's friend say that he cant be able to play games that are for 5.50 gen d version...is it true? tnx

Hey just a quick question, everytime u off ur PSP. U have to first go to enable the ChickEn R2 firmware and then the Gen B update rite? But, assuming we installed Gen B be4, do u still have to patch it in the Gen B updater? or will it just say reboot PSP in CFW 5.03 Gen B?

yes you do....its everytime your psp loses power or hangs u need to do the whole process.

For me, when i select Gen B updater, all it does is just say "Now reboot your PSP in CFW 5.03 Gen B" compared to your Select X to start installation. My question is, is that normal? I only had to patch once and then they only say reboot everytime i repeat the process.

yes that behaviour is normal. after the 1st time u do it, it will always say "Now reboot..."

your ISO folder is in the root of your memory stick and not in MP_ROOT rite? OK.

Now from the main psp menu press select to bring up vsh menu and set umd iso mode to M33 or Sony. Now try running your game again.

it will work on 2000 if you have firmware less than or equal to 5.03. But you may be able to have permanent custom firmware depending on your mobo.

Right now my PSP2000 (TA-088v3) is on 5.03 M33-6. Can I install GEN B from 5.03 M33-6 or do I need to uninstall it / shut down and trigger ChickHEN again? Triggering HEN is a real pain (worked for me on my 8th try). Thanks

you should be installing 5.50 gEN d and patching to gen d2. 5.03 gen is not for you.

There's nothing that can be done there i'm afraid. Its the nature of the custom firmware. Its temporary by residing in memory and when you lose power, you have to trigger it again. Try to not totally switch off the psp but go into standby mode instead. Do this simply by nudging up on the power switch without holding it down

have you got h.bin in the root of the memory stick? If you have all the right files in the right place then you just got to keep trying. There are other HEN mods out there that give better success rates, you may want to check those out.

if your psp needs a reboot for whatever reason, then you dont need to trigger HEN.  The obvious reasons are for when you're testing other plugins, you need to reboot the PSP for the plugins to activate. With Sedna you can test plugins without having to trigger hen each time.

i wouldnt use it, im sorry i use it and it dont work very well, dun bother. but if u do want to.

copy seplugins (merge with the folder if it already exists to the root of your mem stick. then create the files (or edit them if they already exist) vsh.txt and game.txt in the seplugin folder. after that copy and past that line coding it gives u to those 2 files. thats it i think. if that dun work then go into recovery mode and turn on the plugins.
