I hope you dont mean you ran a 2s mixed with a 3s, or you used 2s in series then 3s in series. 2s in series is fine with the stock maxx, but 3s in series will blow something up. As with mixing a 2s batter with a 3s batter will harm something, if not the electronics the batteries could be harmed.
its funny some dogs arnt scared at all but however my neighbor has a german sheperd that looks as if he wants to kill you but if i bring out my E-Maxx, its like a dog chasing a kat SCARED.
if u are going to use lipos on the e maxx either upgrade to vxl or use two 2s lipos because it can only take 16.8 volts, so the 2s and 3s together are to much.
I tried my 3905 Emaxx with one 2s and one +3s Lipoly and it did work fine but it wouldn't take two 3s it just didnt turn on! the only thing is you have to be careful not to over use them, they can be damaged if they get too low voltage! It now has two VXLs and is seriously fast.

much slower. I am running a total of 5s that is 20 volts. it is not the mAh that matters. that is just your run time.

With 2x 8,4volts batteries you get about 25mph with the stock E-maxx.

I paid $200. Used. Then you have to buy or have the batteries which are special for RC's.
