Hello, I know that indoor hockey wheels are soft and grippy. However, i was wondering if its possible to powerslide on those. I have heard that harder wheels are more slippery, but I also heard that for indoors, you must wear soft wheels. If i want to be able to do a powerslide, what type of wheels do you recommend for indoor inline hockey?
So IW, you said that the bauer skate is 1 & 1/2 size smaller than your shoe size but the RX60 fits differently. Is it still that 1 &1/2 sizer smaller than your shoes?
Now i got the Mission DSX 2010 i ordered them a 9 my dress shoe size is a 9 is that going to be okay or should i send them back? I ordered them before i viewed the video about the size charting..
@irishkidd2010 They will probably be a little big, but I would just try them on first. You never know, sometimes skates fit very differently for some people. My guess is that you will need to send them back though.
Hi Tyson, I am a goalie and play in season and I usually go with baurers. My coach told me I should get skates with a same wheel size ex. 76mm. He said it helps to be more comfortable when skating backwards and also in general for a goalie. Is this true? If so, what's a good skate that is setup like that. Thanks in advance---- Nick
@videoking2468 It depends on the skate. Some skates it might not work well because the frame design. I would look into the goalie specific skates that Tour or Mission offer. Right now we have a great deal on the Tour Code Carbon goalie skates.
I have a question about wheels. I got some soft ones that were recommened by the guy who owns the rink. I just used them today and I was slipping a little bit. Is it just because the wheels are not broken in yet and still kinda have that jelly seal? Any tips to make wheels more grippy in the mean time? I've heard windex works?
@MurphGiovanni Wheels do not need to be broken in, in fact they will be the stickiest right off the bat. Once the wheels get dirty, then you start to loose some of the grip. When the wheels get dirty, then the Windex trick will work because it cleans the wheels and restores some of the grip. If the rink you play on gets your wheels dirty quickly, you may need to get some softer wheels
I use mission

@dumbkkid It all depends on weigh and technique. A harder wheel will have less grip so you can "slide" longer compared to a softer wheel.

@nlauzon11 Yes, all Bauer skates are 1.5 sizes down from your shoe size.

Question, What do you mean a size and a half below. Like by them a size and a half smaller then your reg. shoe size? Please write back.
TDSkating 1 year ago
@TDSkating Exactly. Fore example, if your shoe size is a 10.0, then you would need to get a size 8.5.

Hey Tyson,
Entry level Bauers don't come in half sizes; I wear a 6.5 in Bauer vapor ice skates; Should I get a 6 or a 7 for the rx05, rx15 or rx20?
thestops 1 year ago
@thestops Depends on how tight the 6.5 are on you. If they are pretty snug you might need to go with the 7.
