Stop arguing you two:),first of all ,enough about Systema guy will whoop thai box guy and vice versa ,because you never know who will win ahead of time in a real fight no matter how much shit you talk before fighting.Second off ,people that are making fun of systema-this is a millitary martial art or martial concept if you will:),it looks nothing like fighting sports which are regulated by strict rules. If there were a sport were you could poke eyes, break arms, bash heads etc,it would look familia
These tactics may seem logical, assuming you can actually side step a young man's straight punch so simply. Other than that, this reminds me of the Chi Master vs the MMA fighter. These videos are laughable to me.
some interesting training methods....have to say though looks like sloppy aikido...and why the tai chi speed? what is the styles's history I wonder? (and please, if you reply, no rabbiting on about vikings)
@ladeetme lol your a fool !no disrespect but u don't need to be a martial art to see
is fake.no one no in the street that want to bust your head out is going to give you there hand all smoothly like that so u can twist it. you have your agenda to make money off this so your lying.also to add i am a martial artist i ant asking u i am telling you.go on the street with that. n come back n tell u it work if u make it out with your life
@sanddocon sytema isn't a martial art. it is a MARTIAL CONCEPT. and this is merely a training video, to show morons like you what does happen on the street. just that they do it slowly because if you went up against a systema guy in real life you wont even see what hit you when youre dead.

Great system and art, to bad in REAL LIFE the attacker never attacks in such ways as depicted in these and other tapes. This is good stuff to learn and practice with other systema people but fro real combat try Sammy Franco stuff.
@Arcane1Soldier your lack of real class and street experience will one day bite u in the a--. as any good teacher will do ,slow for form so u can understand and see the technique. and u will never know how any one would attack u in the real world, that is why we practice and then u act either defensively, or offensively. By the way where is your book, and vid?
You missed my point. Just watch real life fights on youtube, 99% of them, all they do is throw HAy makers and wild swings and whoever does it the fastest and lands the 1st good one usually wins. I mean, even in UFC and MMA fights, the fighters learned bunch of martial arts but they only use wrestling and a few kicks and punches. It all looks the same. Dont get me wrong. Im sure a 10 or even 5 year veteran of some martial art will win a street fight. But other than that. Anything goes.
@Arcane1Soldier , I here what u r saying, how ever it all comes down to reaction time when faced with a given situation + skill/mind set. Any one, pro or amateur can win or loose. If u don't c it coming lights out. I'v got 28yrs in the arts and a total of 50 in life day to day and that said with out my martial arts side i know for a fact I would not be here today. there is no perfect style because there is always what IF??? in or out of the ring. U study and practice so the odds r in your favor

I find difficult to understand why all this Soviet fighting systems insists on using the gayest soundtracks. Can you please use Priest, Manowar or Venom. I could even be pleased with Bon Jovi or Poison, but please, don't use this electro-shit for a fighting video.
ok, let me get this straight, no pun intended. did you just call electro gayer then Bon Jovi... and then lump power metal into the same category. you my friend, are the gayest gay that ever gayed.
Looks like a bunch of bullshit, the instructor hardly touches the guy and he falls down, which is physicaly impossible unless the man purposely falls down. Looks like a bunch of stoners.
I don't care how fancy it looks, if they do any of this shit to me I'll still be standing.
hey, Southern661, it's safe to make statements like yours on youtube, isn't it? grow up, dude - any art may work for you or against depending on your attitude and personal qualities. Based on your comments I bet you would be an easy target even for Tai Chi folks ;) BTW, if you are from NVa we can try your toughness on me:) Cheers
The Form is called Kadochnikov Systema, the moves are based on Physical science (Mechanics/Biomechanics/Physics/Psychology) throw the attacker off balance so the defender can immobilize or neutralize the attacker, or defend against multiple attackers at one time and in one move.
The attackers aren't falling on que, they are falling because they can't stand any other way, their body can't regain their balance, and they tumble over.
Friend, is a seminar, he is teaching the techniques, they are not fighting, it is intended to be slow motion, so that the motions can be learned and understood.
As far as the NO touch. I'm cert. in hypnosis and look at Darren Brown's video were one Fung Fu master is using a one inch punch and Darren using covert hypnosis has the same result. Power of suggestion is a powerful thing. Alot of systems that use freeze tech. use this.
Any depictions of systema in Russian art or folklore? China and Russia were friends for much of the 20th century. It looks like Systema is a blend of of ba gua, aikido and taiji princibles, which were studied with physics and kinesiology. The no touch nonsense either comes from Aikido or from Russian psycic/shamanism techniques..such as those used by Rasputin. I am genuinely curious about the history.
There was a battle in 16th century when 3000 cossacks had defeated the 300000 turkish army at the city of Azov. And if you look closer at their traditional dancing you see a big resemblance to what is called systema now.
I agree with you, and I train in the Chinese internals myself, it is most similar to Yi Chuan. But I like Systema and train in it, with more force and resistance though. Let me know if you get a serious response about the history, I have yet to see any "proof" of the lineage.
well originally it was a used by cossacks. It was given from father to son. As you may know, those guys enjoyed freedoms comparable to the nobles. But they had to pay the price. When the warchief called upon them, they had to come with horse and go wherever Tsar send them. Did I mention that they had land given them by Tsar and didn't pay taxes? Proud free people who knew how to kick some major ass.
got to disagree. systema looks like a lot of those arts, but the training method is totally different. it's more like excellent fighting skills start looking similar... I would agree that many principles are same/similar. and, have you ever had someone react to avoid your punch? well, take the next step, use that motion to disrupt balance, alignment, etc. the no touch stuff isn't the goal, but it does happen, and it's real. people have reactions, you can learn to use them...
This teacher is worthless))) If we take Kadochnikov - he is not) He has proved his system's effectiveness. He fought many good fighters and he defeated them. His system is one of the most effective in the world. But this system is real, it's not competitive. That is why everything is done slowly, so not to injure each other.
