  • so sad, it seems like the police just decided it was suicide and didn't really want to do any work.

  • i can't believe they couldn't trace her last call. Prepaid cards have to be used on a LANDLINE, FFS. shitty shitty shitty police work. landline calls can be traced, even if they had to go thru the callingcard company to do it.

  • her dad breaks my heart :(

  • In part one someone commented about the poor reading/editing of the intro when the narrator said windy road as in the wind opposed to a curvy road. Gotta love this segment talking about the police bloodhound with footage of a German Shepard. And gotta love NH for painting the road lines right over the pinecones in the shoulder.

  • The dog depicted in this video is not a bloodhound....to bad to include this type of inconsistency in such an important subject.

  • billys mom comes across as a bitch

  • This gives me more chills because she has my mom's same first name :/

    God bless my family.

  • Nursing schools stressful so I can imagine how she felt.she probably was stressed out with two jobs and school I don't work and go to nursing school and it's tough.I pray they find her soon

  • Billy did it

  • @HBK344356 You think so? I find it highly unlikely. A more plausible scenario that she hitch hiked from the crash scene and was raped and eventually murdered.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 ...by someone sick enough to make her call her boyfriend so he could hear her last breath...eewwww. gross. now THAT seems like something 112Dirtbag might do...

  • @Brentsey You keep commenting that in all the maura videos, if you've seen her in columbia then call it in to the police, don't tell us.

  • They say there are over 200 serial killers operating in the United States.......

  • @JBinOtown

    Are you one?

  • @hans1066 yes

  • a very similar case happened in italy only a few months ago. A 19-year-old guy was driving his car one night, got lost, crashed the car in a wooded area, survived but fled the scene. Apparently suffering from depression, he believed the damage he had caused was worse than it really was and was unable to face up to responsibility. So he just started wandering around for days without a trace. Then one night he fell into a canal, removed his clothes to dry and died of hypothermia

  • @TheVideoCat Interesting...but wouldn't they have found her body ?

  • That voicemail creeps the shit out of me...

  • It shocks me to hear that her boyfriend received a call the next morning with sobbering sounds and odd noises.

  • I hope she's still alive somewhere.

  • I think she was abducted. It just seems the most logical explanation. She lied about a death in the family to get out of classes with intention of being able to enjoy herself alone. We've all done that.

Dog loses scent 100 yards down the road.

She was reading that book because it was interesting and it was about her favorite pastime.

  • if it was maura that called her boyfriend- she was able to make a phone call on a pre- paid calling card.

she was near a phone, in an area with telephone reception. interesting.

  • Billy's mom is a little 1950's ish. "She had her school books, so she had every intention on doing her schoolwork." Yeah, she also had 4 bottles of various liquors. So, she also had every intention on getting pretty sloshed.

  • Wow, if she called Billy wouldn't she have to use a payphone somewhere? And why would he delete the message? Weird.

  • It makes no sense for her to go all that way to hurt herself. She could have done that in the area she lived without so much effort. I think she was trying to get away from pressures of school/marital engagement/general personal issues, so she took a trip, heading for an area she was familiar with. Then she crashed the car & not wanting the cops to be informed, she took a ride from a passing stranger so she could get to an area with cell service & call AAA, but that person then kidnapped her.

  • who thinks it may be a serial kiler?

  • I hope she's dead

  • mabye they redo the search with an ACTUAL bloodhound! :{

  • I'm infatuated with the boyfriend.. something about him is so intriguing and attractive... damn, why can't I have that.

  • @RSCII Don't say that he probably killed her you don't know....

  • It seems odd she would just walk out of life. If the dog lost her trail Im betting she got picked up. Weather she knew them and planned this to escape life who knows?

  • Why did she transfer out of West Point? Seems she had a drinking problem too. What about the first accident with her Dad's car? For her to be so concerned she let her Father down for having an innocent accident seems strange. Her Father's on air plea "we can just bang away at this stuff....the same as we do all the time until we fix it." @ 6:52 implies he has some idea what is bothering her. And his continuous endless search for her to the point of legal complaints by cutizens seems odd.

  • @HoneyB100 He feels guilty and is trying to compensate by dedicating his life trying to find his missing daughter. He's in total denial. Maura is most likely dead, her remains just haven't been found in the woods yet, and will probably never be found. She was intoxicated when she had the accident. Ran away into the woods, fell asleep......ironically, it's like another story told in the book she had with her. So sad.

  • @IAMLOST But why does he feel guilty? That's what I've been wondering. Was she coming to terms with some traumatic event in her past? Was there an alcohol problem in the family that he was aware that she might have inherited? Again her reaction to simply having an auto accident seemed way out of proportion unless he said some pretty unbelievably bad things to her about it. Something big was going on her life at this point that her Father seems to know about but never discloses.

  • She had a perfect face. She was gorgeous

  • @lightmajor1

she was terribly misunderstood and very depressed!

  • @lightmajor1 Beautiful. The actress who plays Dr Sarah Tancredi in 'Prison Break' could portray her in a movie.

  • That message is scary. Maybe she was trying to call her BF while escaping or running away from someone trying to harm her.... but then again, if cell phones didn't work in that area, how could she have called him? I know they say a pre paid card was used, so usually they are used with payphones...so perhaps she ran away the best she could, came across a payphone, tried calling her BF and the attacker caught up to her... idk it's a real mysetery thats for sure!

  • That phone message is so disturbing

  • i dont believe she was abducted, why did she clean out her account, buy the booze, head north to burlington with no apparent reason....She was running away, she may have wandered off and just succumbed to the elements, since it was very cold that night, or she hitchhiked out of there and is starting a new life somewhere else....i dont believe the parents truely knew her personal problems

  • something is fishy here, she tells her professors she had a death in the family, which wasnt true, she drives 140 miles norh, with no explanation as to why..either there is something the family isnt telling us about her, or that "death" that maura told her professors, was her own suicide

  • @discovery781 - If that was true then why did she also mentioned in that e-mail that she only took a week off?

  • @Shahla33 if what was true?

  • @discovery781 - if she meant by death in the family her own death, then why mention that she will be back in a week? She would not if she was planning her own suicide.

  • @Shahla33 shes obviously a little unstable...who knows what she really meant or why .....

  • @discovery781 - To me it isn't that obvious. From what I heard in this segment she did not have that much issues. But you are right that we cannot know what she really meant.

  • im guessing she got into the car with the wrong person..scary.

  • i remember when i was abducted years ago (in the 70's) and my abductors drove to a store of all things..for what, i still don't know..but, there was a car parked next to the van i'd been stolen in and was being held captive..and inside that car, were young people, and i mouthed "help me" also. but, they looked puzzled at me and didn't understand, then, i was driven away.

  • @VeronicaG61 Oh, my! How scarey! Thank God you were eventually found it seems. I hope you are well and happy now.

  • @VeronicaG61 My gosh I am so sorry. People just don't know what to do in situations like that

  • Wow, it's unusual to hear police admit that they make mistakes and miss things, very refreshing (and of course, everyone can make mistakes)

Thanks SO much for uploading, TFW - very interesting, would you happen to have more episodes of Disappeared? I really enjoyed this one

  • @dorinocco you live in UK? i'm soo sorry..

  • @dorinocco your odd glee over this very sad story is disturbing. did you kill her?
