What's with Wilson's accent! "Aye lad, the sands reet difrent than thee did whenth thee were on't Graanda reports - or't tryin tut flog dead orse o' those reet flippin bleedin eeediots appy mondeys"
I'd love to say I thought Ian was smart, but, I just don't think he is. He gives off a bit if a dippy vibe and is a bit of a shit chatter, has a nice smile though.
Brown seems to treat men like Tony Wilson with far more respect than many other presenters-he looks down on some people and looks like he is about to deck them.
@kaliyuta Ive heard Oasis say the same thing .I think he is just clarifying they weren't Claiming to be bonafide serious Mods as there are here and there.. cheers
@muttilo I am sorry i did not realize i was speaking to you again , you must think Im a SOB Please no offense and you have an impresive channel for real Im not joking . sorry to bother u
@muttilo I think maybe you are shy,and this is why maybe your communication is a little different. If your are spanish, why do you like brit pop so much?
@kaliyuta Im Cuban/Italian but my Grandmother who raised me for a LONG time was from...Manchester ! .Mancunian by culture and spirit in some not all ways lol
I would say British Music in general rather than strictly "Britpop" for examplepush comes to shove my favorite live band would be the Who in thier Keith Moon prime .anyway cheers .btw I rather put this on your channel but cant lol
@muttilo Wow what an interesting backround.Yes i thought that you were "mulatto" at first.Due to it almost sounds like your name.Anyway i too am mixed backround.I guess i use the term "Britpop" loosely, but i love these bands.I love J.D./N.O. The Jam,Northside I love them all.
What I like about Tony Wilson is that he seems genuinely interested in his subjects. He's never tried to be hip...e.g. when he brought the Pistols up to Manchester and promoted the punk scene. He was still young then (late 20's?) but didn't succumb to the shallow visual aspects of the new scene. A proper journalist enquiring into his subject with searching questions...not scene stealing. Brown seems very relaxed here. He could be prickly but Wilson doesn't patronise him
He's so nice becuase he's getting asked intelligent questions, by a talented interviewer , unlike that twat steve jones. Tony and Ian, true MADchester legends.
It pisses me off that I got only a small amount of what the Roses had to give because of the greed of the record companies and the Rose's manager...proper rubbish
I MY OPINION (thats important..dont judge me..this is my opinion) IAN BROWN AND THE STONE ROSES WERE FAR FAR BETTER THAN LIAM AND OASIS..I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE THE ROSES HAD A MUCH BETTER RYTHMIC SOUND THAN OASIS....OASIS WERE AND STILL ARE TO COMMERCIAL FOR ME...THE "INDIE" ERA WAS JUST BRILLIANT...MADCHESTER AND ALL THAT...ALONG WITH THE MONDAYS, THE CARPETS, JAMES, AND OTHERS...GOOD TIMES FOR ME..THEN THE RAVES GOT A HOLD OF ME ALONG WITH E'S...OH WELL..YOU LIVE AND LEARN..
@avbilly yeah got that in one.. they were great times.. gigs, everynight...the best.. nothing beats the Roses.. Noel is a class guy.. but even hed admit that,
first time ive watched him on telly being cool, natural and likeable - he seems like a fuckin dick fuck wank idiot everytime ive seen him the last 9 years, i think the media make him act like a fud because it makes gud telly
how come there talking anyway factory records used to everything they could to stop the stone roses and the stone roses hated the whole of the manchester scene especially the factory bands. when was the switchover point
what a fucking legend. Liam might have sung better in 94, but he lost his voice and Ian just kept on being the better singer/person. 20 years later. he is the man.
Ian Brown is a bloody legend- perhaps the most important and interesting man in British music nowadays. He may sound like he is singing into a bucket but nobody can touch his attitude. You have to listen to his music.
Ian Brown has never looked 19- not even in 1989 !!! What are you on man ? His haggard cheeks, long face make him appear older. Now (2009) he looks increasingly neanderthal.
zoso11 - spot on. Unfortunatey this will happen to Noel and Liam Gallagher and the UK will lose another great band due to petty fueds - The Beatles, The Stone Roses, Oasis...
you can tell at 5mins hes genuinely upset the way things turned out, telling me ian and john really detest each other, think not, same as any big fall out between mates, both too stubborn, both dont wanna show the weaker hand. Both behind close doors miss each other. fact!
Two of Manchester's finest men. Although it's ironic because Tony used to hate the Stone Roses because all his ex-partners were involved with them. RIP Tony and long live King Monkey.
Ian Brown is a fuckin' legend. The Stone Roses inspired some great names in music and continue to inspire. His solo stuff is mint as well, he's a top lyricist.
What would Manchester's legacy be without these two guys...saw footage of the railway arches getting knocked down...fuckin' sad...LONG LIVE THE LEGENDS OF MANCHESTER!!!
