This video is freekin' hilarious. One question - what was this actual installation? Was it in your house or somebody else's? At the time you filmed it, was it destined for replacement?
@reeperbahnmedia This was a functioning Asterisk installation in a business! Of course, the specs I cite like RAM and disk were not right, but the actual cable ends were exactly as shown.
Still funny years later, but people shouldn't try to read anything into it other than "Don't set up your pbx like this". "SIP, just say no" is a tip of the hat to IAX2, a newer protocol invernted by the asterisk people. Mac users comment was for pre OS X when there was no underlying *nix system. Do,n't worry, be happy.
I should post some pics of real "professional" phone system installs I've seen. How happy I am to replace them with full VoIP systems where wiring problems can be seen clearly with error counters on switches.
lol sip just say no, the first disadvantage is sip phones take some time to bootup and they need POE or powercube servers can not be afforded for intensive environment while some legacy PBX supports over 200,000 concurrent connection
Thank god for Google Voice and its easy of use now with the Gmail page! But I still want one

you have FAILED at delivering your message - what does SIP has to do with your clumsy wiring, or you just trying to sound technically savvy?
