What I love about the Birthday Massacre - Listening to them is amazing. The work put into their music - it's like a beautifully choreographed dance, but with music. The subtlety is wonderful. And then they have the live music. Live, it's like hearing their songs all over again, re-worked and re-done, a new experience, as phantasmagorical as the last.

I am the poster of this video,surely it isnt hard to tell from the video quality the my digital camera was crap, the poor quality is not due to any part of the TBM, but my rubbish camera, it recorded crap video crap sound. Chibi has an amazing voice, this video does not do her justice at all!

It would seem as though most people don't understand the concept of a "forum." People are going to like and dislike this music, and Youtube provides a place to share either sentiment. You shouldn't get so offended if someone else doesn't like the same music you do.

oh my god, stop getting so butthurt because someone criticized this chick's singing voice. the music of the band overpowers her voice. it sounds bad. i like this band, but i would never pay to see them in person if this is the stage-quality of their music.

most mainstream bands are about this bad live, it was kind of disappointing to discover, unless they're heavier metal type bands, their sound doesn't change much between live and recorded performances.  muse is really the only popular band i know of that isn't horrible live.

I don't think she is in very good physical shape. In all the live performances I've seen, she jumps around a little bit or does some headbanging, and then she's out of breath for the singing. She also isn't reserved enough and overemphasizes certain syllables seemingly randomly. Also, they need to put some effects on her voice like they do on the albums. Basically their studio recordings sound amazing, and their live instrumentation is amazing, but the live singing is lacking...

Well, then you go up on stage, rock your heart out, sing with all your might, and do all of this while adrenaline is pumping throughout your entire body. of course the live version isnt gonna be perfect because recordings are mixed and edited. you just cant do that to a live performance! besides, they can charge all they want, and people are still gonna buy tickets because they love the band and dont expect a cd-edited performance.

In fact EVERY live song I've seen the whole band has sounded great, especially the singing!

Why don't you try standing up on a stage for over 2hours and see if you feel tired! No one has to sound perfect! They can have fun on stage, you know!!
