@KiroToru Sinichero Watanabe stated that the character of Lupin III was a major influence on the animation and movements, and the mannerisms of Spike and I can definitely see the influences there. I also get a bit of Fujiko in Faye.

Just saying, but Lupin III is the FURTHEST thing from black in my mind. But man, that image of Spike IS creepy.

yoko kanno fronts the seatbelts, which have dozens of members in different countries, its like her own personal band to do whatever she wants, shes a producer, not so much on the musician thing... although like any good producer she knows how to play a great many insturments.
