Anyway good news, K-on fans! The author of the manga intends to continue with the storyline by splitting the manga into 2 installments: one on the college experience of the original "gang of four", and another to cover Azusa, Ui and Jun in their final year. Hopefully both get animated, and Azusa gets to join the original band members by making into the same university.

I'm guessing they will make both manga into a single anime, an anime is easily large enough to have both stories in, specially because I'm sure they will meet at breaks and vacations anyway.

Also, this could mean we will have the anime sooner, since they won't have to wait for the manga to get much ahead \o

@wisefelipe Yeah good point there. Killing two birds with one stone, so why not? Very good points, since the 2 manga will alternate consecutively every 2 weeks, at least they do not have to use fillers, and just get straight away with the canon. I am in favor of it since it promotes continuity in the story lines. I don't really want Azusa to be left out alone since she is a core character.

What do you mean by it alternating though? I thought they were in different magazines, at least that's what I read in wikipedia, they are in "sister" magazines, from the same company.

About that by the way, from what I heard, there will be 2 mangas happening at the same time, one following the original cast in college and another following Azusa, Ui and Jun in highschool, I'm sure there will be plenty of crossovers/cameos/special editions though.

I normally do not have any liking for pop, preferring classical, romantic, baroque or instrumental over pop-culture, but this one is significant because of the meaning and context being channeled into the "soul" of this music. Pop-culture is mostly sensationalistic and superficial, but this one shows that some can have depth to its meaning.
