aaah phantasy star IV. the only game in the series not stained with atrocious music, balance, dungeon design, and translation (although the last 2 points could be debated). If Squaresoft had developed Sega RPGs this series would've crashed and burned even earlier.

Phantasy Star > Final Fantasy. Nobody wants to hear about how much blk cok Cloud and Aeris suck in their spare time. Final Fantasy 6 and up weren't even creative.

Also Earthbound is not gay. Final Fantasy 7 is gay.

Earthbound is super awesome, you need to concentrate on the plot and the text, not the fact that your characters are stupid useless kids.

Actually, if you combine crosscut with efess, it does a MASSIVE ammount of damage... The strongest attack in the game :-)

Deban + Legeon + Megid + Posibolt (Saner is good as the fifth contribution to the macro string as Rika normally will do it first thus increasing the potential for it to be done since agility seems to bump macro success)

Old school RPG and among my favourites.

I only encountered this gem when I got my hands on an emulator a few years back and then nabbed the ROM for this game. I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed this playing this bad boy :). This Phantasy Star puts present day RPG's to shame.

This dark force was odd. With moves like corrision and shadow bind, he could either rape you or do nothing. Though I actually found him to be the easiest of the dark forces. As a matter of fact, next to the profound darkness, the hardest challenge by far was that homo that lived in that castle floating in space.

PSIV was the easiest of all the Phantasy Stars because it didn't force you to XP farm very much compared to the others. It takes some creativity to make it more challenging.

Yeah the orginal 4 Phantasy Stars are still my favorite rpgs of all time and I've played alot of Rpgs some most people never even knew existed like Questron, Phantasy 1-3(yeah there was a computer rpg named that), Sword of Fargol, and some insanly hard ones like Wizadry, The AD&D Gold Box Series: Pool of raidance, Gateway to the savage fronter, Death Knights of Kyrnn. And I still count the orginal Phantasy Star series among the best.

Dark Force is kinda generic. But, I found Zio to be more of the villian than Dark Force and Profound Darkness. Zio is a badass, he kills Alys and he is basically emotionless. Pure evil.

Although, I agree Kefka is a badass and makes Sephiroth look like suck. Golbez wasn't a villian, hes was a tragic hero who was being used by Zeormus.

Sega Genesis, you can always download the rom and a emulator and play it on your PC. I highly recommend it as it is one of the best RPGs ever made. :)

I believe the Phantasy Star series was ended well before Final Fantasy VII was released. Its irritating to hear "Phantasy Star" got "THIS" from "Final Fantasy VII". If anything, Final Fantasy VII's tragic death of a main character idea was TAKEN from Phantasy Star II.

Different eras...no one wants to hear about Final Fantasy VII all the fucking time.

It's the other way round. Phantasy Star 2 came out over 10 years before FFVII, and everything that's considered so "groundbreaking" plotwise about FFVII Phantasy Star 2 had done already. Sides Nei >>>.Aeris.
