  • Awesome, what's this type of music called?

  • @TheBornAnnoyed I like full moons and equinoces even new moons and solstices, like midsummer. But I prefer the winter solstice.

  • @thisischavez Hey man, what can I say? I am a font of knowledge indeed.

Does your screenname have anything to do with Cesar Chavez? Probably not, I was just curious. However, if it does have to do with Cesar Chavez...then much respect to you, he's among the top ten men in history I have respect for.

  • @9M19 Even though your comment is two years old, I feel a need to respond...Yes the Caribbean was populated by slaves in the late 17th and 18th centuries, but there is still a rich influence from the native Taino indian tribes indigenous to those islands. So really today's Caribbean culture is a fusion of African and Taino, and even Spanish (in some areas like Cuba, of course).

It just depends on where you're at, I guess. But to say that the entire Caribbean is all Africanzed, is just wrong

  • @erikss0n1982. Nothing on this beautiful planet we call Earth is more important than knowledge. I'm glad you are kind enough to share it with us. Set those of us who are misled into the vast truth that we all seek. Haha! That just took me over he top, huh? LOL.

  • i am excited by this

  • this is truly one of the best things i have ever seen and heard...thank you!!!!

  • LOL

  • @InHearse13

    LOL...NOT

    How old is Beiber...22...maybe.

This type of music and these types of drums, as well as, this beat itself has been around much much longer than he has been alive...

  • BEAT ... THOSE .... SKINS.

  • Awesome. Man Made Souls does a lot of this in the live shows, too. Bring on the percussion!

  • check out our (JuniperGreen's) cover of 'send me on my way'! its always a fun crowd pleaser!

  • i had seen them at heavenly days in steamboat springs before they were known. they had a full set up and played this. all real. amazing

  • @recyclehound ....Yes, very sultry.....i already posted on another video of same song that hearing this puts me in the mOOd, especially during a full mOOn which area i live in had during the autumn equinox + for a couple days thereafter. ;)

  • @TheBornAnnoyed yes well that can be expected from the lower primates with malfunctioning cerebrums. They tend to be influenced by things like the full moon, thunderstorms, loud noises, stupid smelly people with had hygiene, preferably from the east coast of america

  • @aristotle9000 ...You forgot pheromones, which VERY STRONGLY influence Meeee. And by the smell of you, you are a dead corpse... with rigor mortis which has set in. You also have a distinctive smell, kinda like embalming fluid. What, did you drink some just a short while ago, Freak~o~Zoid ?

  • does anyone else find this sultry?

  • I love it! This song is one of the things that got me started playin percussion. But how come the only drummers you don't seem to have pics of in this are the drummers in Rusted Root?

  • this band inspired me to play drums!

  • Man... the drummer/bongo player in Rusted Root is amazing he can almost play like this song with one hand behind his back pretty much like he did when i saw em in Ohio a month or so ago

  • Great heartbeats...Great imagery ....Thankyou....sharing

  • I saw them in concert @ The Electric Factory in Philly in 92-93? And just seeing all the instruments they play at once is amazing! Reeeaallly great show!

  • they can never beat send me on my way :'( neither can anybody ever.

  • @skatejam7 That is about their 10th best song

  • This cd is one of the best cd's of all time, and starting with this and ecstasy was brilliant.

  • best band ever, dunno how they didnt achieve more success. its crazy to think such a great and innovative band came to very little.

  • @tiddlywinks98712

maybe they didnt want to. Me and my buddies met up with the singer at one of their shows he seemed real down to earth (obviously) but i dont really think thats what they wanted

  • @Shua4two0 ah epic, that makes them so much cooler now! fraggin LOVE THIS BAND!

  • this band is genious

  • my mum and dad played this music all the time when i was young. (:

and they should've known i'd go and get dreads and a drum.

  • @harnessyourblame , I had parents who played Neil Young and Bruce Cockburn. I turned out to be an idealist bohemian environmentalist. Go figure, eh? :)

  • AWSOME! love rusted roots!

  • bwahaha, CaptainCrews2 doesn't know about them Africans on islands.

  • bob marley African Caribbean

  • African Caribbean? How is that existent? That's two completely different parts of the world...

  • Um, Really? The Caribbean was populated by African slaves. That is how the islands of the Carribean became so rich in culture, food and religion.

  • i did this song for my dance rehearsal last year. haha cuz i took african caribbean dancing. it was so fun!

  • i still can't believe i use to listen to them when i was a kid! lol. i love these guys!
