from hundreds and hundreds of years ago at the tomb in the church a greek priest has been there 24hours a day...7 days a week to protect it...during this armenian celebration they asked the greek priest to leave in which he refused .
This is where all the problems began from...the greek priests feel that they have to obied by this ancient tradition and the armenians feel like the greeks feel they are trying to be in control...armenians and greeks are very close friends...shit happens i suppose

I'll try to explain in few words. Orthodox is the branch of Christian, spread in Greece,Russia,Bulgaria,Ukraine,Georgia,etc.They have the same holidays,but Christmas on 07.01,not 25.12. The Church was parted at 1054, by the 3-rd World Congress. Now in Russia it is very cool to go to Orthodox church, but during 70 years of Soviets you may got a lot of troublels to visit church on Easter or Christmas.
