@iMacG3nerd When the case is in waterproof mode, it isn't on (obviously). When it is open, there is a center divider running the entire front that has a fan at the bottom ... Air comes in one side using a push side fan and blows all the way to a vent at the bottom of the divider and then is exhausted out the PCI slot side.
Yeah, my first project was to put a micro ATX box into a 800 CRTG 5.56mm box, but I couldn't find a power supply that fit. So, I stuck an xbox in it (this was back when XBMC only ran on the xbox (original) hardware.
The ammo can has aluminum rails on the inside that perfectly fit the motherboard tray that I used, so it slides in and out very smoothly. The rails are JB Welded to the inside of the case, and are quite solid.
It's a large 7.62mm ammo can procured on eBay. Note, there are two common 7.62mm ammo cans ... a 200 round can and a 1500 round can. The 1500 round can can hold an ATX board, ATX power supply, full-height pci/-e cards and 3.5" hd's.
Inside dimensions: 17.25" long, 7.4" wide, 14" high
If you buy it, make sure the seal is still good. The rubber tends to not age well. Also, be sure to put a synthetic rubber lube (not KY, heh) so the rubber seal keeps its integrity and the can stays watertight.
Because I don't typically use CD/DVD's (rather, I rip almost everything I own after I purchase it), thus a CD/DVD drive is not necessary. However, there would have been room for a masked optical drive between the fan and the power button if I wanted to incorporate one.
Isn't it? But we have some sweet LANdys in that messy bedroom/bunker. And BTW, I've wanted to build a real vented 2-foot concrete bunker since forever. I'd totally live in a bunker in my backyard ... wouldn't that be totally cool?
Another cool feature about this case is that it is completely mounted on rails, so that the hardware can be changed quickly. I'm working on getting a website up about the whole build process (completed in under 24 hours). The case is based on a 100% unmodified Military ammo can, which is why it's submersible without taking on water.

Another note, this thing is heavy! Really heavy. If it wasn't filled with mostly air, the thing would sink.
