the album artwork on iTunes are not provided by itunes themselves but rather they are from other users who submit them through itunes for everyone else to get. Sorta like Amazon.

u can use google image for album art.

it had some glitches when released.. as soon as you get it u just have to update it via itunes with the newest softwere.. the new update fixed all glitches.. :D mine now works fine :D smoth coverflow... way faster response... just great :D death to ipod touch :D

if i have 30 songs on my PC then sync an ipod, the ipod will then have 30 songs on it yes?, but then if i delete 3 songs and then sync it again will there only be 27 songs on the ipod? IF you put on the 30 songs, upon sync they'll be on your iPod, however, if you delete three songs, they will not be removed from your iPod UNLESS you have enabled auto-sync in the iTunes settings for the iPod.

Yes, there is an option to sync automatically or manually. I do mine manually to avoid confusion, this simply means instead of my recently added iTunes library going onto the iPod my itself, all I have to do is select the music I want and drag it onto my iPod.

Yeah I think so its on Apple's Website. I think its like 3 minutes with a bit rate of 128. If you go to Apple Website under i-Pods in the fine print it tell you all the specifics.

I have had no problems with my firmware update....never heard of any problems with the 80GB model, but I don't really see the need to upgrade, so if you don't feel secure about updating your not missing out on much XD.

Honestly...Unless you are tied down to i-Tunes (meaning you have purchased a lot of content of their store) then I would go for the Zune 2. It has a much bigger screen 3.2 inches it has wi-fi and this time you can sync through wi-fi (meaning no wires). The only downfall to the i-Pod Classic is the battery life the Classic can play music for up to 40 hours while the Zune 2 falls short with 24.

Thats what I would go for...I mean I would get the one I like more. Go check them out in person, I like the beauty of the i-Pod + unfortunately most of my music is purchased on the i-Tunes store. There both awesome players, see which one has more features that interest you.

Very nice review Sean! I've been really on the fence about getting this though. I've been to Apple forums and read all the nightmares people are having so I'm scared to buy it.

Have you experienced the docking issues? Like when its docked to speakers does it shut off while playing?

Also I noticed you put the VMA's on there.  This was a ripped then converted video right? Cause I've heard many people are having problems putting on videos they converted themselves.

I think you should go for it... I have no regrets since I've bought it. No problems with the ripped videos they look and sound extremely sharp. Couldn't help you with the speaker problem since I don't own a pair, but I doubt there is any problems with docking the i-Pod Classic with some speakers.

Hey Malekeater,

Umm.. It really depends on what you preferences are. Just like you I fell in love with the large screen for watching videos. Personally in your case I would go with the Ipod Classic instead of the Ipod Touch. You have so much media already which will only go expanding. So an Ipod Classic would be ideal in your case.

Well I hope that helped you some what. In any case I believe picking an Ipod is a very personal decision, so buy whichever suits you best.

I have NOT encountered any problems with the update 1.0.2. My i-Pod Classic works perfectly I have yet to find any problems due to this software update. Album art is displayed very nicely on the i-Pod and all the videos look and sound sharp. Throughout the menu system I have not encountered any problems. Answering your question the software update 1.0.2 has not caused any problems with my i-Pod.

Battery life is the main issue that I have had with this i-Pod. You see I usually see my music through cover-flow, allowing few hours of battery life. I don't think it is caused by the update, I could be wrong though...Since I've bought the i-Pod I've always gotten the same amount of battery life out of it. It really depends on what activity you perform. Cover-flow really drains the battery, but viewing your music in a different way might result in longer battery life.
