You'd be the particles in space absorbing the heat.

The Space around you wouldn't be hot at all, but you'd vaporize. There's theories about freezing in space as well, cold isn't a "thing" it's a lack of heat, heat transfers from one object to another. Without matter you might retain your body heat with nothing for it to transfer to. It can't just disappear yet it can't transfer to nothing. .

The simple reason, as moonyday pointed out, is we can't. There is no material we could make the equipment out of that would survive anywhere near this close to the sun.

It would be like trying to get an ice cube into an iron forge. The ice would disintegrate before it even got close.
