@calvinculpalt thats not a bov sounds. thats the sound of the air going back up into the turbine cuz it has no where 2 go. i work on cars. if that was a bov it would have an air sound to it like a "PSHHH" not like a flutter. that means the turbine fan is being pushed in the opposite direction by the air.

What you are trying to explain is "turbo surge" , which is due to excess pressure in the system not being released after the motor is no longer under load, or to put it simpler for you "he let off the gas pedal". The sound you are hearing is a BOV. Compressor surge sounds much different.

they now are doing something called twin-charging or compound boost, you can run twin/single turbos on a saleen mustang /terminator cobra and make over 1100 HP at LOW LOW boost...MM&FF did a tech peice on it...they put a hellion TT system in it and it pulled over 1250HP on 5-10psi of boost. look it up its sick!!!!

Ah ricky a turbo doesn't provide free horsepower.  You have decreased horsepower and engine lag at lower rpm's unless the turbo is so small it makes no difference. If you are going to be sitting still reving at a start a turbo is a nice option as are smaller turno's for daily driving. Traditionally V-8's run at lower rpm's to so turbo's are/were less used on them. The import 4 bangers typically ran at higher rpm's and so could get into boost range instead of drag from an turbo very quickly.
