No kind of games, books or anything could give me such good feeling.

  • we used to play music by Hisaishi to my sister who had autism and it would always calm her down as she would recognise the beauty of the piece that she was listening to. Sometimes times were tough having an autistic person in the family but having this kind of music made it easier. Now she's gone we can listen to this music and remember her.

Thank you Hisaishi for all the gifts you have given my family

R.I.P big sis! I think of you all the time :)

  • ryoujou=summertime (grace à Google Translate^^)

  • IMO, this is what sites like youtube should be used for, showing amazing music and videos to as many people as possible, instead of the crap that's usually on here

spent many hours talking.... time passed .. but I did not noticed the time passing..

  • Beautiful. Joe Hisaishi really knows what he's doing.

  • So many emotions in 3 minutes 55 ...

    Thank you ♥

  • which film is this coming from?

  • This is the prettiest solo song (not connected with a movie) that he wrote. Too bad the CD it came from is OOP. I had the devil of a time looking for it but I finally found it. Track down the CD if you can; YouTube's videos are so compressed they sound awful to a true Audiophile.

  • How beautiful this world in the sunset pink sky and this wonderful !!! very good !!! magic world music ...

  • この曲本当に好きです。

    メロディーが好きとか、曲の構成が好きとか細かいことじゃなくて、漂う雰囲気とかが感覚的に好きです。

  • this is so beautiful and soothing <3

  • May I ask which Joe Hisaishi's album does Ryojou come from? Can anyone help me plse. Thanks!

  • From his Soundtrack "Piano Stories III".

    You can google the mp3

  • Tks Hamadim!

  • This piece is only available on an imported CD from Japan. I finally found it and now have it on uncompressed WAV format, so it sounds much much better than it does here. :)

  • What does Ryojou mean?

  • りょじょう (Ryojou) means the feelings of a person while traveling. Very appropriate title in my opinion =)

  • This song captures that essence perfectly. It sends chills up my spine, gives me goosebumps, and at the same time reminds of places I have been, and places I want to be.

  • if anyone wants this for solo piano just pm me

  • Hi, I would really like to get this

    thanks a lot

  • please send me the piano solo

  • Which CD is this beautiful piece from? I want to buy it. Thanks

  • Gorgeous

  • I can't find this song on itunes T.T .. can anybody help me with the mp3?

    Thank you so much.

  • use tunenabber . com

  • Is this an original song or is it from one of Hisaishi-sensei's film scores?

  • I think Hisaishi-sama would be the more appropriate honorific, as he's not really a teacher of any sort.

  • No, Hisaishi-sensei isn't a teacher, but he is a MASTER. And then some!

  • Actually, you're right, now I think of it. I was just being my pretentious self again.

  • wow, this song is just way too awesome

  • Really like this song.. gives you a calm and relaxing mood, and just nice listening it...

Does anyone have any suggestions of songs like this? I'd appreciate it.

  • Hi! I'm glad you like it! You can just listen to ANY of Joe Hisaishi's songs, they're all so beautiful :)

I love him as a composer, he's so wonderful!

  • if sheet music is available please send me also

  • is this song from any movie? or any drama? and can anyone sent the sheet to me plz?

  • God bless you Joe Hisaishi. T^T

  • The opening sounds so much like "Waltz of Flowers" by Tchaikovsky ^^ I love this song

  • What movie is this?

  • ok....i was just wondering...^__^ cuz u sound like u were a lilo bit....

  • I always knew this song was about travelling, or returning someplace...

Like the calm of home or a home away from home.

It turns out Ryojou means "one's mood while traveling"

Joe Hisaishi can paint such vivid pictures, I don't even need the title to see what the music is about.

  • if so are u willing to marry him???jw...dont get pist! nor mad!

  • i wanted to learn piano only so i could play like him, but that's close to impossible. I can only listen for now :)

  • His Music lifts your spirit and fills your heart with such joy...you feel so wonderfully calm when you hear his music...wish the world could hear him...then maybe more calm would be had by all...

  • What a beautiful thought...

  • It has such a gentle sound.

  • this is good, really good

  • Joe Hisaishi, <3

If you don't love him, you don't know what love is.

He's a work of Art , In fact, everything he does is.

  • Isn't that a bit of overdoing it ? :p

  • Overdoing it? Not even close.

  • HAHAHA :D

  • wrote this post in the wrong place.i love this song.

  • what makes you think they can't?

  • Yeah! Cause my cat hates me, except it doesnt whenever I play my viola.

I think music is the universal language for all living things. (with ears)

  • that's so true! my cat loves when i play the piano and gets very irritated if i play wrong :D

  • I think living things without ears would still appreciate music by feeling the vibrations of it

  • some also said plants can appreciate good music... so why not those without ears too? :D

  • corns have ears and sway by the music=D

  • does anyone know how to type the name of this song out in Japanese?

  • anyone?? hello?

  • try Hiragana:

    りょじょう

Or Kanji but im not sure if it's correct letters: 旅情

Anyway name of Author is Joe Hisaishi-->久石 譲

  • The Japasene letters are correct.

Ryojou means the feelings of sentimentalism on a journey. Especially, the feelings of nostalgia.

  • Can someone slow dance with me...

  • take my hand, its up to you where but please let it be far far away from the world

  • woah, that was nice ...

  • kiki! :D:D:D:D

  • Every time I listen to this song, it inspires me. I mean, it encourages me to live life to the fullest. It also makes me cry too because it sounds so beautiful. :')

  • Why is it called Tabi Jou in Piano Stories III?

  • The first Japanese character can be pronounced "tabi" or "ryo." I don't know which one is right, or if both are right.

  • For some reason, I think I've heard this song before, like not in an anime movie. Has it been in any other movies? I completely love this song. Joe Hisaishi is a musical genius- every single one of his songs never fail to please, especially his works in Spirited Away. In my opinion, he is the best composer of all time. Absolute masterpiece <3

  • Is this from a film? It rings a bell, but just on the edge of my memory..

  • I think it's from kiki's delivery service movie..but, correct me if i am wrong

  • I watched the kiki delivery service movie, but I don't think I heard the song in that movie (It would make a perfect fit though). Just saying.

  • T_T elle et manifique cette chansons
