This video made a point I never thought of before, that family pets are also pulled into this terrifying world as bait. I can't even begin to nor can I let myself think about what these animals go through in addition to the dogs forced to fight.

clouds,it's a big biz,stealing dogs & cats from yards for use as bait for fights,& sale to laboratories for testing.Anyone who lets a pet outside unattended,no matter how "good" the area,or how rural,is asking to have that pet go missing.Bait dogs have mouth taped shut & are tossed in the ring.Small dogs&cats are hung over the treadmill,or dangled for the Champ to jump & rip apart for blood training.NEVER leave a pet outside alone.

I worry about my cats every time they are out of my sight, they have always been indoor/outdoor cats. My latest rescue has become an indoor cat living with my b/f, he was found with both ears gone nose cut off and his eye cut. Now we have no desire to let him out and for the most part he is fine with that. He is king of the castle. It's so hard to even wrap my brain aound how anyone can hurt these animals or take people's pets.

clouds,I do cat rescue.Please keep all your precious kitties indoors only.They'll fuss @ first, like kids do,but will get used to it.Not only Bunchers get them.Humane Soc has a campaign to keep all cats indoors,if you love them.

I am a cat person, and I fell in love with a Pit, but I am terrified of those Poms!One tried to bite me, with no warning once!Those little dogs can be a lot more aggressive than the Pits! Good message though.

Don't be scared off by 1 bad experience, remember a dog feels they must protect us. If for some reason the dog you are referring to perceived you as a threat to their family they would react. My lab was the sweetest baby on earth, but if anyone other than family got in his "space" he let you know it in no uncertain terms.

clouds60,u r right.But the Pom who tried to take my arm off:It was so cute,and the owner was holding it.I asked if the dog was friendly,& if I could pet him.The owner said yes.When I gently reached out,suddenly,out of NOWHERE, the dog attacked!I snatched my hand away in time,but I felt his breath and his teeth just missed me!I had not pets at the time,& no contact with any other dogs,& I was not angry or a threat.

I hope I didn't come across as not compassionate, my boyfriend has dealt with dogs as an oil turck driver for years and has definitely had his share of run ins with every personality of dog there is. I was just hoping that it wouldn't discourage you from liking dogs. I'm working on him now, 1 of these days we'll start with a puppy so he can grow up with him.

clouds,my ex was a LD trucker,transporting horses!We have something in common!No,I am not put off by dogs cuz of the Pom experience.I have rescued dogs,& fell in love with the last one I saved from death.I got him a home.Send me your email,& I'll show you Pokey's pix.He looks like a Champ,but he's a lover!If u get a pup,ADOPT ONE from the kill shelter.Save a life!:-)
