I have friends from U.S., Germany, Italy, Korea, China they all enjoy staying here in Thailand. I was wondered though, coz i know here's kinda uncomfortable, traffic's sucks, disorganized but good things here are people, foods and VERY cheap living cost. Thais, in general, are easy-going, very relax for everything and very friendly, eager to make friends with foreigners. Plenty of vast kinds of foods for 24 hrs. Fine whiskey+mixers+snacks cost less than 15 USD. But only avoid Pattaya, slut city.

Of course you can go by yourself! Thailand is very easy to travel in, and most of them, allmost all are willing to help. If you visiting Chiang Mai in the north, khao san road in Bangkok or Koh pga ngan in the south, you will for sure meet some other "lonely" Backpacker to hang with. Just keep an eye of your bag everywhere you go as in anywhere else in the world!

Of course you can go by yourself! Thailand is very easy to travel in, and most of them, allmost all are willing to help. If you visiting Chiang Mai in the north, khao san road in Bangkok or Koh pga ngan in the south, you will for sure meet some other "lonely" Backpacker to hang with. Just keep an eye of your bag everywhere you go as in anywhere else in the world!
