im confused, ive watched reveiws on the d3000 that says nothin of it haveing video but ive only seen 2 video that say it does take video, and this is one. does or does it not take video????
Depends on the quality of the sensor but yes that is the basic rule. Raising the iso is like putting a grainer [high speed] film into your camera. Things becomes more sensitive... yet also sensitive to the natural noise of the electronics.
There is always some level of noise on a digital sensor. But at ISO 100.. it tends to be not in sight.
well, they are two different technologies. CCD vs CMOS. I haven't done any testing yet because I just got the D3000 used for super cheap but still at ISO 800 with a fast lens like the 35mm 1.8g you should get great pictures in low light.
don't listen to this guy hes a fucking idiot by saying the d3000 is horrible in low light. I use these cameras in my digital photography class and they take very high quality pictures in any light if you know how to set the right settings, obliviously this guy just claims hes professional but hes not.
Nice video, i have been deciding if buy the nikon 70-300 vr or the tamron 70-300 vc, which one would you recommend me? take into account that my budget is 500US and i would use it specially for wildlife photography.
@downtownbub i'm sure this gap in between what appears semi professional and pro is little nowadays. d7000 is all we all need. go to... freedslr . com remove spaces and get an opportunity bring home completely new Nikon D7000
@jaydemoorevbhh - Everyone, don't fall for all these thumbs up. All his other identical comments he left on other videos has a nearly identical number of thumbs up. Coincidence?
thanks.........I bought the d3100 a couple weeks ago, and happy with it...most tutorial/tests versus other, similar line cams seem to all agree that the d3100 is better on most counts....tell me though, I see where the new, 5D Mark II is a range abvove alot of these cams, and even is used in some TV shots....may pay the extra 3k soon and buy that one..
Got a question. the place where i purchased my 3100. they told me that you can connect the wireless shutter trigger remote with this camera. how do i turn that option on, on the camera
@javieralza yes it does javier, 1080p, with auto focus (though it makes silly noises) + Manual Focus. Great Camera, very smart. One of the best for beginners if not the best at the moment. Alex =]
Hey there, I'm curious if you think its worth getting a D3100 if I already have a FZ35 (or FZ38) for indoor and outdoor low light and portrait photography? And would the kit lens suffice or I should look at getting the 35mm f/1.8 lens?
As you know since you own a FZ35 it does great in outdoor daylight, but I basically have very shaky hands so I hate slow shutter speeds which is what the FZ35 gives me in low light and indoors so I'm quite curious what you think.. since you have both cameras?
kya nga d3100! dah!
