@Peccath I know. Lousy equipment at the time, if you look at my more recent offerings I think you'll find vast improvements. That and this was 3 years ago
I have to agree with Armen8806, SPM was pretty cool, maybe a bit over done. The new series i rather liked, except for the fact it was a mustang, they did a really nice job.
@MJKnight07 Have you heard anymore information about the Knight Rider movie?? What did you think of the show that only lasted one season, the one they just cancelled??? I swear if Seth Rogen ends up being Michael Knight I would raise hell!!!. I cant believe he's playing the Green Hornet, in the up and coming movie.
I agree entirley and love the camero/trans -am as the only latest vehicle that shows kitt has evolved properly! I also hated the adition of super pursuit mode addition in 86, it just made a mockery of a true calssic ;-) "Come Hoff bring kitt back to the big screen"
Having watched nearly all the shows and recording them for my younger kid brother while he was growing up with the series I agree with your rant:)but its not just the old Transam that made it special but KITTS voice and the thyme music was outstanding 2!!
yes TKR that was a just peace of S**t.i like that new concept "kitt" car.shelby gt500kr isnt realy emm... kitty. new knight rider isnt eather as i ascpacted but beter something then nothing :(
f-hoff dude, vin is a idiot, your probably a 15yr old boy thats why you say vin is better, back in the old days you didn't have to be packing huge muscles or what not to be cool or a hero
example is mcguyver, people joke about what he does but it was the most popular show, and he wasn't ultra cool looking and killed people, or even used a gun,but he was the best, why? because he was just smart
My friends think I'm insane but I love most of those old 80's shows like night rider (born in 1990 fyi). LAHrebirth you are right about the attitude towards it though, my friend scott is only concerned in cgi and crappy simple storylines. I prefer a strong storyline to cgi.

I like how you reseach it thourghly good work mate. I would like see Kitt as a 82 Trans am as well but understanderable that they need new body for him.
jesus its an adapted film of an old series! i cant wait for the film the pics look great hasselhoff wont be playing the main role hes already said hes too old! but it still looks good hope it is the mustang great american car for a great american series
Are you talking about the knight rider 2000 movie? I liked it/ but in that movie hes was ruined and rebuilt in a Chevy body then moved to the red car I think the Camero, I mean thats probibly y He was taken apart
I was refering to the Knight Rider Motion Picture that's being developed by Glen Larson and the Weinstein Company. The one you're thinking of is the NBC Knight Rider 2008 TV Movie.
The movie that NBCUniversal made was for a backdoor pilot to a new series, which has been commissioned by NBC to start showing this September 10th. NBC's Knight Rider is continuing the story from where the original TV series left off whereas the Motion Picture being produced by the Weinstein Company is retelling the story from the start with a modern twist.
what I don't get is why they took KITT apart in the first place in the movie. I mean. they should have left him all together and had David(micheal) driving him. Then KITT1 could meet KITT2
i think k i t t should of been a 2007or 2008 GTO i mean come on it should altess stay a pontiac idk i was not into the mustang hope they change the car again :)
Since the new TV series is being sponsored by Ford, I highly doubt they'll change KITT from a KITTstang. As for the movie KITT, I've been told that they're looking to use an Acura Sports concept as it's the closest one that bares any resemblance to the original Trans Am and it's qualities.
I agree that Hasselhoff should have had more of an influential role in the TV Movie/Pilot and the original KITT should most definitely have had more screen time than being in pieces in Charles Grainman's garage.
Movie was good and all, but I really think david hasalhoff should have played in it more. Also I think K.I.T.T should have been at least a trans am , camaro. Mustang, well I would say they went a bit far on there part with that. Anyway knight right was may fav show.
I think the new camaro/firebird would be a great idea for the big screen production of the show, the picture you showed in your video really does look like future version of the '82 Trans Am. Please keep me posted if you hear anything about future plans of the movie.
Yeah. That made no sense to me whatsoever. It won't be Knight Rider if KITT doesn't talk. But that's water under the bridge now. Weinstein Company and Larson will make sure that KITT is still vocal for the Silverscreen adaptation.
I'd love to see the new Camaro as a future KITT the problem is though I think the body is madfe of fiberglass just like the forth gen Firebirds, Camaros and Vettes So I don't think the shell would be able to take the same pounding from the stunts.
But as I also state in Knight Watch Issue 4: I feel the Mazda RX-8 would be the ideal candidate as KITT in the feature movie as it has the best look in terms of being aerodynamic.
They did look to the Corvette, but as I showed in the 4th issue of Knight Watch: they ruled it out after finding out that it's carbon construction would make it impossible for stunts including turbo boost.
Some more new info: Larson and co. are looking to Nissan with their GT-R as a potential KITT-car along with an Accura sports car. They did go to Pontiac to get them to help with the movie and to build a 2009 Trans Am just for the movie, but they declined.
Well, that's your opinion. I personally thought the cars in Transformers were good...except for the Pontiac Solstice. Dunno why, I just don't like that car.
I'm wondering what they will try and use for the big screen movie. I think it would be very cool to have George Barris do a custom Camaro (to look like a Firebird) for KITT in the 2010 big screen movie:) Just a thought.
from what I have heard KITT will be an all new ride...nothing to do with the older kit...so I'd think of the old kitt Like a daddy to this kitt,Think that could work? sence the new Kitt is all weard and looks almost nothing like the old one?
Good to hear..Most people right off the movie as being a poor film due to the lack of a firebird...Which I think is very wrong for them to do since KITT or any other knightrider car has alway been about whats on the inside not the outside..And I think people have lost touch with that.
That's a very good point. Yet, at the same time they do need a car that looks the part. And for me the Mustang is not it for the TV series, even though I am slowly adjusting to the idea of it.
I'm not saying it was or wasn't, in my opinion, it was just something that wasn't necessary. If you like it; great. The reason I'm not a fan of SPM is because of the fact that it ruined the mystique of KITT. That being, he was a supercar that didn't look like one, and SPM clearly made him look like a supercar.
Good point! I think they were just trying to add something new to keep it fresh. Different
I liked it but then again most road shots in SPM did not seem that fast unless film was sped up. Just like SMDM with Steve running in slo mo not really running that fast but cool any way IMO.
I kinda felt that it looked cheap when they sped scenes up when KITT was in SPM. And I think it was either not long after the series ended or recently, motor experts believed that SPM was unnecessary as a Trans Am on it's own could make 300 MPH without the air-foils.
ok thats all good but i read at msn that the new kitt will be a mustang. now that is sick it has to be a gmc a trans am because that what kitt was. no stupid ford or dodge.
No the Mustang is for the new TV Pilot that could go to a new series. At this moment in time; Glen Larson is not revealing what car KITT is going to be in the movie as they have only just got the script completed for the Weinstein company. But rest assured; Glen will not disappoint us with the car he delivers for the re-birth of Knight Rider on the Silver screen.
WELL SAID!!! i think they should stick to hassolhoff and the old trans amm i think the guy who mad this flm is right on the money apart from giitting rid of super persute miode that was the whole cheesieness of the show but i think they should have the same car as in the tv show but make it more coll like in knight rider 2000 well done to the guy who made this film you are a creadit to KITT fans everywere
i agree whith you, i wahchd knight rider in the 90s rearun here in sweden. man we got everything 10 years late like whith thransformers, but i agree whith you till around 100%, you seam to have some god ideas about this movie
I do not know if this piece of information is in regards to the new series or the movie, but either way; Knight Rider has a director now - his name is Steven Shill. And he's directed episodes of Deadwood, the Sopranos and the west wing, I think.
MKay...I grew up with KITT and I must say that a few peaple wanted a Camaro...That wont do, Now if that concept firebird comes out with the KNIGHTRIDER movie that would probably the best thing for GM and the movie..its black its got back seats and it's got the pop up headlights...Good work there. If KITT looked just like that then I would feel good about it...And its ok to use a guy thats not a hoff dude...it wont be hoff in the movie anyway so why not.
As someone who is involved with Glen's movie, I am glad you understand his reasoning for re-imagining the franchise. I can tell you however that the new KITT car will not be a concept camaro nor is that real genuine/official concept artwork for the movie and he will not be any of the other cars featured in your video. Hasselhoff will not be involved with the movie either.
Not the concept Camaro, eh? Hmmm....that's interesting. Well, at least it ain't the Kosenigeggs (I think that's that spelt correctly).
No Hoff either? At the time when I made this video, I just went with what I knew. But I shall probably make another video soon with just an update of what I have learnt from you.
One more thing; will the re-vival of Knight Rider as a TV series affect Larson's movie vision in any way?
if hoff, was actualy playing micheal knight, and after devond death in kr2000, is now running the foundation, i think vin would make a good replacement (but as a NEW character rather than as m knight)
and bonnie/april should be played by knights daughter from TKR :)
Again, I dunno...Diesel is good and all, but I just can't visualise him as Knight. But that's my opinion and I respect your opinion on this matter as well.
nar i agrea on that, he could never be knight, never in his wildest dreams
hence why i say (only if it was NOT a remake)
i think if hoff ran the foundation (as knight) i think he'd recruit a new foundation oprative (from prison) rather than a police officer, kinda hardcastle & macormic
someone he belives in, like wilton belived in micheal.
i think if it spun off to a series,
a convict would offer more plots later on in the series to :D
Easy way to do that would be to have the old kitt at the start, who then gets his ass kicked, and gets re-built in the New Shape. (similar to what was done in the new Transformer Movie) I totaly agree it should NOT be like the poster you showed. Hence my Re-Make of that poster. Click on my Name to see it. But I could live with that Camaro Firebird looking effort if it realy was necessary to do such a thing. And yes Supper Pusuit mode sunk Knight Rider.
wow, my quality has really gotten better since then

I agree! SPM was ridiculous! Almost, (but not quite) as ridiculous as the horrid ghetto "C Button" function(!) Ugh...
The original show would have had much more longevity had the the producers just chosen to stick to this simple formula :
MORE actual stunts, + LESS crazy new functions, = SEASON 5

No idea. But it was 'he' that confirmed that it was a fake when questioned about it.
That, and he annoyed the Knight Rider Online community because of it.

00:40-Great Picture. SPM was cool no matter what people say.
bigbill1991 4 years ago
That's your opinion, and I respect that.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
Damn straight. Are you saying it is not cool?
bigbill1991 4 years ago
I'm not saying it was or wasn't, in my opinion, it was just something that wasn't necessary. If you like it; great. The reason I'm not a fan of SPM is because of the fact that it ruined the mystique of KITT. That being, he was a supercar that didn't look like one, and SPM clearly made him look like a supercar.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
Good point! I think they were just trying to add something new to keep it fresh. Different
I liked it but then again most road shots in SPM did not seem that fast unless film was sped up. Just like SMDM with Steve running in slo mo not really running that fast but cool any way IMO.
bigbill1991 4 years ago
I kinda felt that it looked cheap when they sped scenes up when KITT was in SPM. And I think it was either not long after the series ended or recently, motor experts believed that SPM was unnecessary as a Trans Am on it's own could make 300 MPH without the air-foils.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
Maybe now but not in the 80's.
bigbill1991 4 years ago
True.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
ok thats all good but i read at msn that the new kitt will be a mustang. now that is sick it has to be a gmc a trans am because that what kitt was. no stupid ford or dodge.
sopranopoulos 4 years ago
No the Mustang is for the new TV Pilot that could go to a new series. At this moment in time; Glen Larson is not revealing what car KITT is going to be in the movie as they have only just got the script completed for the Weinstein company. But rest assured; Glen will not disappoint us with the car he delivers for the re-birth of Knight Rider on the Silver screen.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
WELL SAID!!! i think they should stick to hassolhoff and the old trans amm i think the guy who mad this flm is right on the money apart from giitting rid of super persute miode that was the whole cheesieness of the show but i think they should have the same car as in the tv show but make it more coll like in knight rider 2000 well done to the guy who made this film you are a creadit to KITT fans everywere

gigasteam 4 years ago
Let's just say I've watched through all 4 seasons more times than I could count and know how the story, characters and jokes/gags should be.
And like I said in the video; it makes more sense to restart it, yet at the same time - keep it faithful to the original show.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
I do not know if this piece of information is in regards to the new series or the movie, but either way; Knight Rider has a director now - his name is Steven Shill. And he's directed episodes of Deadwood, the Sopranos and the west wing, I think.

MKay...I grew up with KITT and I must say that a few peaple wanted a Camaro...That wont do, Now if that concept firebird comes out with the KNIGHTRIDER movie that would probably the best thing for GM and the movie..its black its got back seats and it's got the pop up headlights...Good work there. If KITT looked just like that then I would feel good about it...And its ok to use a guy thats not a hoff dude...it wont be hoff in the movie anyway so why not.
capridrifter 4 years ago
"Mute KITT?!"
If they do that, then it won't be KITT!!
I really hope this movie comes out and will be good.
blackTtop 4 years ago
I concur.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
As someone who is involved with Glen's movie, I am glad you understand his reasoning for re-imagining the franchise. I can tell you however that the new KITT car will not be a concept camaro nor is that real genuine/official concept artwork for the movie and he will not be any of the other cars featured in your video. Hasselhoff will not be involved with the movie either.
victorkros 4 years ago
Not the concept Camaro, eh? Hmmm....that's interesting. Well, at least it ain't the Kosenigeggs (I think that's that spelt correctly).
No Hoff either? At the time when I made this video, I just went with what I knew. But I shall probably make another video soon with just an update of what I have learnt from you.
One more thing; will the re-vival of Knight Rider as a TV series affect Larson's movie vision in any way?
MJKnight07 4 years ago
Nope, not really. Some minor changes will have to be addressed but overall his script is unique from what they're planning to do.
victorkros 4 years ago
vin deisel would be perfect
" IF "
this is made as a sequel (not a remake)
if hoff, was actualy playing micheal knight, and after devond death in kr2000, is now running the foundation, i think vin would make a good replacement (but as a NEW character rather than as m knight)
and bonnie/april should be played by knights daughter from TKR :)
TheWraith 4 years ago
Again, I dunno...Diesel is good and all, but I just can't visualise him as Knight. But that's my opinion and I respect your opinion on this matter as well.
MJKnight07 4 years ago
nar i agrea on that, he could never be knight, never in his wildest dreams
hence why i say (only if it was NOT a remake)
i think if hoff ran the foundation (as knight) i think he'd recruit a new foundation oprative (from prison) rather than a police officer, kinda hardcastle & macormic
someone he belives in, like wilton belived in micheal.
i think if it spun off to a series,
a convict would offer more plots later on in the series to :D
TheWraith 4 years ago
Easy way to do that would be to have the old kitt at the start, who then gets his ass kicked, and gets re-built in the New Shape. (similar to what was done in the new Transformer Movie) I totaly agree it should NOT be like the poster you showed. Hence my Re-Make of that poster. Click on my Name to see it. But I could live with that Camaro Firebird looking effort if it realy was necessary to do such a thing. And yes Supper Pusuit mode sunk Knight Rider.
