  • Love this song!

Doing a sort of...mashup of this and 'How High The Moon' with the jazz ensemble at my school, complete with vocals. Should be fun.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • I am in 8th grade and I can play the first 45 seconds(:

  • you're beast:) ...stay with it.

  • if it will be filmed, which it should be, i will do! :)

  • I'm doing this tune for a solo performance for college and its pretty hard!! tis a good tune though!

  • Be sure to post your performance on Youtube for us...we're with ya'.

  • HAHAHA I GET IT ITS BECAUSE ITS THE SCIENCE OF BIRDS AND HE IS BIRD...good song

  • I need to post my version as Parkers playing is unbeliveable and needs to be heard. Absolutely no faking from the master!

  • Amazing Charlie. Nothin' else to say.

  • re bassmuffwah charlie parker invented the style of be bop. john coltrane is possibly one of the best sax players we have had the experience to hear, and, his music will live on forever as well, but bird started something that was never before heard.

  • Blissful Bird with Miles, Lucky Thompson and Dodo Marmarosa. Wonderful stuff the very peak of the Jazz genre, nothing better since in my (humble) opinion.

  • Fuck Yeah!!!!

  • Only 104 likes - damn!

  • Charlie Parker fue un inovador

  • Makes me happy too :)

    So that's 2 of us.

  • i wish there was someway to bring him back :,(

  • Nobody improved as well as bird, and he was the torch to the short lived flare that was bebop, everything after him, a derivative, the phenonema of Bird defines genius . To call him "one of the pioneers "is an incredibly lame way to describe, by far, the greatest musician, of the 20th century. People say "Bird Lives" because his music transcends time, his influence, incalculable. His sense of timing, nuance, and invention is in it's own class. Just listen as he constantly refreshes his approach

  • @pqskater4life john coltrane, not to take anything away from bird but there is no greatest musician of the 20th century, cause at a certain point there are a bunch of greats.

  • Always great to hear a young Miles with the master!

  • do you think there are better than jazz? specially with Bird :-)

  • This makes me happy :)

  • BIRD LIVES!!!!
