  • @bonnietroon basic "child" rhythms?? you mean like, a heart beat? breathing? sunrise/sunset? .... action that is truly without "intellect" is most profound action ... perhaps it is you who is not yet "getting it" ?? namaste

  • @bonnietroon ha ha, I do get it. Country music isn't so much greater friend. I listen to intelligent hip hop / rap. It is not very mainstream, you kind of have to go looking for it. But it exists. And you cannot deny it. Anyway, I posted the video that you are coming to to watch in hopes of improving your knowledge and or augmenting your ability to "get it" so...

Grow up - what a rhetorical capstone. I guess I really need to, huh bonnie?

  • why do people still go to school when there's the internet? people can learn at their own pace when they want to and what they want. what we need is to free the internet and provide for people that contribute the most to the whole, which is everyone, especially the ones that don't seem like they're doing much. the internet can be transferred just like radio waves with satellites. or through the ground. but money keeps us all poor. to be rich, stop using money r things that need it, start using u

  • @takepills School is important for a number of reasons:

    1) All knowledge studied from school has been reviewed and checked by the academic community and peers. Anybody can post something on the internet.

    2) University teaches you how to find the information you are looking for, problem solve, and challenges you to think critically.

    3) University provides the opportunity for social networking which can bring about better job opportunities for you and get you laid by decent girls.

  • @takepills the internet is just a tool, it does not solve all of our information needs but is quite useful for a number of purposes, no denying that.

  • @takepills stop taking pills

  • Do you want the matchless Truth about December 21 2012? have a look my Profile vid's..

  • Great series of lectures. Thank you Laotsu7777 for the uploads and photos

  • Alan Watts is important because he built a bridge between East and West. But this bridge is different because, whereas the bridge the West built towards the East was forceful and obligingly converting, the bridge from East to West flows like a river of natural, peaceful wisdom.

  • lol, the peaceful bridge met the Eeeeeeeeeevil west at pearl harbor on july 7, 1941.

  • Let's see, homey (dated) using way in place of the word 'really' (80's dated, and meant for chicks) and then to top off how not current you are you recommend a rap album as an educational device. You're clearly a simpleton hoping to come across as sophisticated. You've failed miserably and revealed what a feeble, limp-minded dolt you truly are. Thanks. btw - atheist. Oh, alchemist in your name, LOL. Nothing childish about that. Pwned.

  • @bullmeecham if you were in any way better, you wouldnt have put down another human being. but instead instructed him/her to a better understanding. have a good day.

  • @bullmeecham ..Ha!

  • @bullmeecham I suggested the rap album so you could pick up snappy flavor to your delivery is all...

  • the East is, for the most part, is dominated by a patriarchal sex-negative draconian social order.

  • Sounds rather like the West then.

  • @Reflection888 - true, Alan Watts was a bridge to the East, but your assertions are silly -- there is nothing inherently "easy and natural" about the East. buddhism is not about making people or their hemisphere wrong -- your bridge anology is a form of uninformed cultural racist.

  • Alan was very important to me in my 20's then I read Robert Pirsigs book, that seemed to focus so much for me. Then I got married raised kids now in my late 50's non duality has gained new traction for myself over the past several years.Guess I was not really ready for the wisdom of Alan at the younger age. Alan is timeless.

  • i love any thing that has to do with alan watts speaking. He saved my life. the video is tranquil and Zen-like.

  • Allan Watts free spirit of the highest order

  • Watts and McKenna would be awesome to see. Make that Watts McKenna and Tesla.

  • hey i want to read "ishmael" by Daniel Quinn.

relate this message to what quinn says.

    please buy/borrow/steal that book.

  • is there a cat in the upper left corner of this picture?

  • not that I am aware of...

  • looks like a crocodile or dragon!

  • I took the photo in the bolivian amazon.

I don't think there was a jaguar or tree climbing aligator up there but I could be wrong.

  • @JosephEaorle looks like a raccoon..

  • @JosephEaorle I think it just looks like one.. Me and a couple friends saw what we thought was a large dog laying on the floor at the far end of my dormitory hall way one time and it turned out to be a mass of paper bags.. LOL!!!!

  • and Jim Henson too?

  • I wish Watts was still alive =(

  • MasterNaturalist (6 months ago) I wish Watts was still alive =(

Yeah. I listened to hundreds of hours of his stuff, and Campbell and lots of others who are gone now, but recently i listened to a random clip from Watts and for some reason, as flaky as he could be at times... i never cried that any of the others were gone as people. strange to attach that to someone who helped me "feel" what i knew intellectually about the illusion of self and life, attachments, etc.

  • Well that's very good to hear, the more you realize who and what you are, the easier it becomes for me to identify myself and who I am. I suppose when everything comes to a close and we all have to come together in spirit and nothingness, I'll thank you then, but then words will be lost, I suppose I already thanked you. Good bye good sir ^_^

  • Where's my spear?....;)

  • Alan Watts is really quite good.

  • thanks for posting!
