  • You people fail to realize one thing the orginal poem beowulf was rather simplistic just continues battles against two demons and later a dragon, not much of a complex story. However by emphasizing that everyman has flaws no matter how great we get something complex and viewable in the modern era. See past the hollywood image, read between the lines. Or better yet the quotes: I KNOW THAT BEHIND YOUR GLAMOUR, YOUR AS MUCH A MONSYER AD

  • This depiction of Grendel's mother doesn't seem like Beowulf could have killed her anyway; she can teleport, destroy weapons, wages psychological warfare, and is too gorgeous.

  • I give the children that you want angelina , just give me a chance

  • is then BEowulf brad pitt xd haahhaa

  • Just realized An innuendo

  • Beuwolf no problem he can't fight or fuck his way out of

  • what... the .... fuck

  • *fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap* damn. my viagra isn't working.....

  • DAAAAAYYYYUUUUUUUMMMMMM

  • Duck witches get money

  • Look I read the poem and its amazing, but hollywood always adds there flavor to it or it would be like any other sword and sandal movie. The book is strait forward and epic. But there are hundreds of movie that have that. I like what they changed. Making Gendels mom a beast who mates with Kings and Heros that creates monsters for other heros to fight. If her offspring dies by the hero then she mates with the victor, so you have an endless cycle. I also like how the Jolie form is a front.

  • Who cares if the book and movie are different. Just let people enjoy it and stop trying to sound smart because you read the book. Jeez.

  • Wasn't Grendel's mother supposed to be a little less... Sex symbol?

  • @RubyToosday123 The Jolie form is a front. If you look carefully at her reflection when she is talking to her son you can see she is an ugly monster. They made her a shape shifter to take the form of a women that any man would want.

  • It is a good scene indeed, but it's not Beowulf. Typical Hollywood messing with and overcomplicating souce material. It wasn't the bad-ass fantasy/action film it should have been. The game sucked too.

  • Actually, the film-makers justified this scene by pointing to the fact that Beowulf, in the original poem, is an "unreliable narrator" and, while describing his... encounter with Grendels mother, is ambigious about the actual events that transpired in the cave. Of course, there was no mention of a "son" and Grendel's mother was never seen again ever after.

  • question!!! is this an animated movie or live action....im confused

  • @kingdomEXE Both. Its motion capture full length film by Robert Zameckis. Besides films like Back to the Future and Roger Rabbit Robert is know for his state of the art motion capture technology second to only James Cameron. It was his idea to do the film in motion capture. After first the studio said hell no but after seeing his work on the polo express they changed there mind.

  • where's the part where she's a monster

    come on people

  • what would samurai jack do?

  • I'll give you 8 sons

  • lol they just changed this part of the story to lure in perverted viewers >,>

  • i think..evryone would fuck her, for sure !

  • @everyone complaining about wrong movie. The others of this movie interpreted Beowolf to have lied, since no one else was in the cave with him and his word is alone for the part of the tale. It is mentioned several times in the movie "but the bards tell differently".

  • her feet are so weird lol angelina is cool

  • Angelina walks up to you and tells you, have sex with me and ill make you richest man ever, powerfull and everythink. I mean, wtf....there is not a single straight not retarded man that would say no.

  • In the book wasn't Grendel's mother hideous?

  • Comment removed

  • You know a girl gives good handjobs when she can make a sword blow it's load.

  • i would tell her to bend over and lets get it on right now. she was surprisingly hot !

  • Wait. This is hot but wrong in history.

She attacks him and the sword can't do crap to her. She has the advantage and almost kills him, but his armor saves him. Then a sword appears out of nowhere and he uses it to slash her head off.

This: He Bring no armor, barely naked. A very sexy woman demon arises and actually seduces him instead of fighting him. And in the end, she's still alive.

Kids that like watching movies instead of reading, this movie is fake. Just read the book,

  • @FluffMaster101

Actually, in the epic, they are in a battle hall, and the sword is on the wall, hanging there. but everything else is good =-) and i agree

  • @FluffMaster101 It was either the sword of the giants was made of superior metallurgy, or Unferth trolled Beowulf by giving him a rusty iron sword to use lol.

  • I thought Grendel's mother was just mad and wanted to kill Beowulf. The movie makes her all sexual and whatnot. That's not necessary

  • 3:42 Jizz In Mai Pants!

  • p.s. love how at 3:15 she starts giving the sword some weird hand job and even the sword cums

  • reading the book now in class and this movie is wack compared to the book.

  • Im gonna say almst every1 must be judging this movie on these short clips not as a whole The movie was good and close to the poem a little was changed but sometimes ya gotta improvise. Lets be honest if grendels mom was this hiddeous freddy kruger looking witch I dnt think bewlf or any of the other heros wud hav had a problem with chopping her head off but this creature that he must kill is more powerful and wud be extremely hard to slay. I can see why she had no problems tempting the heros.

  • Hahaha his sword turned to goo after she fondled it. No euphemism there.

  • that's what i call a milf, lol.

  • my next tattoo is angelina as grendel's mom on my leg

  • A very powerful scene from a good movie !

  • I've read the book, this scene is NOTHING like it, though I won't spoil it. But I think I'll let this one slide to see Angelina's golden titays ^-^/

  • what the hell, isnt she supposed to attack him on sight, not try to seduce the fucker?

  • Wow, this is so stupid. If you've read the original poem or at least the translation, you'd realize this re-telling is ridiculous.

In the poem: "You killed my son Grendel! I'll kill you!"

In the movie: "You killed my son Grendel! That makes me so horny!"

  • @Kyuubi424 ''Horney'' xD Lol.... They ruined the poem :l We (at school) are reading the poem ''Beowulf.'' :D

  • @LaMasTuaniDeTodas1 Yeah, we were studying it too. ^_^

I understand that in this movie they were trying to explain all the plot-holes in the poem.

But that's just the point: Beowulf was liek Chuck Norris. He didn't need explaination.

  • @Kyuubi424 ahahahahahahahaahahahh lol XD never liked the movie my self felt like something was wrong with it and now i know

  • @firewofl397 It's just a really dumb movie that served no purpose but to ruin the poem.

  • @Kyuubi424 no, beowulf was an amazing movie. she's supposed to be a hideous monster, that's great. how is that any more intelligent or a better story? to anyone with half a brain, this movie made you think; grendel was the product of a king's transgression, and beowulf makes the same mistake. he admits to his flaws, but repays his debt unlike the last king. it's brilliant, it really is, and the ending leaves you wondering if the cycle ever ends. i like this depiction personally.

  • @gravi1ty Well couldn't that have been better as an entirely different movie? The movie is meant to be about Beowulf, which is a pre-set story.

I'd have no qualms with this movie if it was actually something original entirely instead of trying to change a famous folk tale.

  • @Kyuubi424 I think it might be so she gets a really good opportunity to kill him. I don't know those are just my thoughts, never saw the actual movie.

  • @Alexper12 That's the thing; in the movie she wants a son to replace Grendel after Beowulf kills him. SO she screws Beowulf, and she gives birth to a frigging dragon.

    What the hell.

  • @Kyuubi424 i no right. I read the poem and the book Grendel and the movie is a bit f-d up

  • @xAmericanStig Just "a bit" is an understatement, my friend.

  • @Kyuubi424 you said it lol.

  • @Kyuubi424 You seem rather jealous of the movie, kiddo.

  • @LeeroyJenkinsstudio Jealous?

Er, not really. I'm not hiding desire or longing behind my rambling. I mean it when I say I don't like it.

If you like it, then more power to you.

I on the other hand, do not.

  • @Kyuubi424 The poem was also bloody rediculous.

  • @rooski1191 True. And that's what causes this movie to fail.

They were trying to make a ridiculous concept serious.

It's like trying to turn Super Mario into a post-apocalyptic drama story; it's just not going to work.

Well, granted it would be kick-ass, but it would still be ridiculous.

  • Everything about this scene is perfect, except for the mother's stiletto heels....too futuristic for the era.

  • Beowulf was never going to win. Angelina Jolie would have kicked his ass.

The diminished sword, she walked through it and disappeared. He would have lost.

  • the way she talks damn :)

  • oop!
