If you were lost with guitar tuning to the point this really helped you should probably put the guitar down and go try painting or something. Or with your newly found green light red light skills perhaps you could get a job repairing traffic lights.
wat if it goes to the red and green do i have to put it to green always so its tuned or it does it have to red and green if its tuned cause i dont know
What if you hit a string and the lights go to the Sharp light but then all of a sudden it goes to Green and all of a sudden it goes to the Flat light in like half a second?
i just bought this tuner, and got all the strings on the green light. but it doesn't sound very good? do i need to hold down the sting or play it open? and also should it be at 440 or lower? any help is great
You can plug and electric guitar into it and it works quite well. it you don't want to plug it in (this works especially well in a noisy room) lay the guitar on your lap and set the tuner on it. The mic will pick up the vibrations like a clip on acoustic guitar tuner.
At first you say when it's sharp you need to loosen the string, then on your next string it is sharp and you said you need to tighten it. Which is it?
If it's sharp then the pitch is too high. So you loosen the string. If it's flat, the pitch is too low. So you tighten it.
However, you shouldn't tune down to pitch. If the string is sharp, loosen it until it is flat, then tune up to pitch. It will stay in tune better that way.
Thanks for the video. Could you explain the calibration setting on the Korg? Mine came set to 450hz and I found that setting the Korg calibration to 440hz then better matched the audios of tuning notes found around the web.
the room has to be quiet otherwise you'll have to plug it in.

i have that tune does that tuner work for the electric guitar?

yeah, korg tuners usually tune both bass and guitar, you just have to press a button on it, well that's on mine idk about other ones.

That particular tuner (CA-30) is a chromatic one. It will tune anything and there are no bass/guitar buttons.

Are you serious?
If it's sharp then the pitch is too high. So you loosen the string. If it's flat, the pitch is too low. So you tighten it.
