  • I am italian and I need to say thank you to put subtitle in my language. I really appreciate this and I will share this content in my country, please continue upload videos (translated) :)

  • Not a bad speech, but what was stopping him from putting the French Franc on a gold standard? Switzerland didn't go off it until 2000.

  • @UponInfinity Because after DeGaulle, President Pompidou (ex Rothchilds bank boss) with the complicity of Valéry Giscard D'estaing (in those days, Finances Minister) introduced fiat currency. The Bank of France was no longer creating money at 0% rate and then started the nightmare. Needless to say that after we gave up the french franc for the euro currency, some goods like potatoes rapidly inflated around 1000%

  • Subtitles please

  • i have 3movie scripts, that im trying to get film, contact me

  • This is the president that called Nixon's bluff (1971)

  • well....didnt know De Gaulle was a prophet ....

  • You could at least ask before stealing my subtitles...

  • can't understand french. need subtitles

  • Terrific!

  • Hell of a great find!! Thanks Dan. : D

  • lol..wheres the subtitles

  • Pls remake this video with subtitles . Pls!

  • @TheSilverAgeHasCome

just push the "cc" button - a voila :-)

  • Why not the whole speech??

  • Excellent..Favorited this! DeGaulle sent French war ships to the NY harbor to pick-up their gold from the banksters in exchange for paper dollars...so Nixon took us off the gold standard and we defaulted, "force majeure". In other words we became dead-beats and DeGaulle exposed the truth.

  • Thanks for a great upload!

A summary of what DeGaulle said: The U.S. Dollar sooner or later will crash because it is not attached to gold and therefore will be misused by the politicians and the FED who will create immense debt - which we all have to carry in one way or another. And since the Dollar is the world currency it will eventually bring down all other countries aswell. As the U.S. dollar goes, so goes the world. The remedy: currencies attached to gold.

  • @robert4you its been damn near 50 years and yes it eventually will crash. maybe another 50 years. just more fear mongering.

  • @VICSWEB1 HaHaha, 50 years!! You are very funny!

  • @robert4you

Thinkable is also to barter the products of your work and expertness internationally. You don't need neither money nor gold. By the way: the value of all human work is worth more than all gold existing on earth.

  • @robert4you

we do not need to attach currencies to gold. we simply need to make it legal to use other things as money which means gold, silver etc. if we only allow gold to be used as money it will allow banks to control the movement of gold and its value.

we need free markets in money.

my views are based on what i read from Ron Paul, Jim Rogers, Marc Faber and Peter Schiff.

  • @hyylo Not sure if that would work, but it sounds interesting and a better alternative to what we currently have.

  • @TWSceptic

its the only method that will work because it allows the people to choose what method of payment to use. in the past people used gold but as gold became more expensive people moved to silver and other things. in the UK they used wooden sticks which had patterns in them.

paper money gives control to those that print it.

religion talks about money. islam tells muslims not to allow a few people to control the money. jesus was also angry when he found out about money printing.

  • @hyylo Well I'm not religious, but I believe in the case of Jesus he just didn't like capitalism and wanted people to only care about love, peace, caring for each other etc... he did say to sell *all* your belongings. But yeah, paper money is simply too tempting to government to abuse and it's always the people who pay in the end and get screwed. I personally hate cash, I always use cards and if they could link that to actual gold & silver reserves, that could be a great solution I think.

  • @TWSceptic

i'm also not religious but i do know that the only time Jesus showed anger was when he found out about the 'money changers'. Islam also warns Muslims about paper money.

however most Muslims and Christians are not taught these facts.

  • @TWSceptic My religion says, I care about myself and my family! And I do not care anything about the government!

  • @TWSceptic

    I'd claim otherwise

What most countries have is a socialist-corporatist system, NOT capitalism, media & govt just calls it capitalism as it'd been more palatable. Free market capitalism is about every person having right to their life, liberty & property & the principle of non-coercion & since Jesus was all about non-coercion, he could be considereda capitalist since socialism, communism, corporatism, etc all involve USE OF FORCE against others' wishes

  • @tjtomkins I agree with the first part of your reply. But Jesus a capitalist? Don't think so. Sell everything you got and live with as little as possible, nothing to do with capitalism. About not using force yes, but that can be liberal too.

  • @TWSceptic The difference between Christian charity and socialism is in charity you are not forced to give, wheareas in socialism you are,.

  • He said buy gold, buy silver, fiat sucks!!

  • wheres the subtitile? the CC button says its caption not available

  • Thanks for the subtitles in English! I do not know what some people are complaining about. This is an EXTREMELY useful video - irrespective of what some people are commenting! I am also sad for those who have never heard of DeGaulle - and find it impertinent to read up on him before commenting!! Thanks again.

  • "CIA forms the French branch of Operation Gladio. Admiral Pierre Lacoste stated that the CIA supported the French Gladio and the OAS right wing extremist organization to attack Charles DeGaulle." ~Wikipedia

  • @whygoldandsilver I still dont see subtitles.

  • i don't see any subtitles

  • what a worthless video for non-French speaking Americans.

  • Merci Beaucoup mon ami!! Glad I understand French, The hell with the rest of you Anglos I guess!!Guess someone f*cked up with the video!! Hehe! Glad to see you guys are human and prone to error, now I cant think you you guys as gods anymore. LOL!

  • Sounds good to me... =)

  • ummm, don't see subtitles and don't understand French very well.

  • Am I supposed to understand this?

  • 1965? We were on a gold standard. And wasn't it because (at least the reason given at the time by Nixon) of France redeeming their dollars for gold that Nixon decoupled the dollar from gold? From what I read DeGaulle always hated the US for not letting him attend the Yalta Conferences with Stalin and Churchill, and this had something to do with his push to redeem the gold. Correct me if I'm wrong...

  • @combatjm89

Why would they let him if he was a loser? :)

On the other note, to see subtitles press CC, near resolution and voice change.

  • MERDE 46 ans plus tard c est toujours comme ca , la fin approche pour le financement gratuit , I would have love to see this earlier

  • @whygoldandsilver Was referring to a deflationary spiral depression? One world Gold currency? Gold dinars circulating in Muslim type countries maybe even Arab? So every country ends up with it's own gold coin & amount of gold in it? But countries do have mints with gold coins? The west isn't really using them though because @ the moment they are too valuable & look like becoming more valuable? we kind of get that but isn't it just the market until people take on debt? can't hav gold standard can

  • great, i understood everything.. (sarcasm implied)

  • @vladamirrrr

    You can't read English?

  • okay......

  • Hope they still have that gold they collected, French banks own 400B Euros in Italian debt.

  • @puapake

Sarkozy has had the good idea to sell 600 tons of France's gold back in 2004, which represented 20% of France's gold back then. This pretty much means that he decided to throw 20% of french people's purchasing power out of the window. Some people say he did it in order to save the dollar...

    Everyone can't be De Gaulle...

  • And the title at the beginning is :

    "The dollar crisis. February 1965"

  • "[...] Given the consequences that a crisis occuring in such a domain could have, we think that we have to take in time the means to avoid it. We estimate it necessary for the internationals exchanges to be established as this was the case before the world's big tragedies, on an indisputable monetary basis, which doesn't carry the mark of any particular state. What basis ? Really we can't see that it could be truly possible for a standard other than gold to be."

  • oldie but goldie!

  • Heh?!?

  • I don't speak french, but I get it.

  • Come on.... Subtitles or basic translation in the description box would be nice! I'm pretty sure he's saying the US is printing money not backed by gold and they want to cash in their dollars for gold and prove it.

  • Après moi, le déluge.

  • Not only is it black and white but french as well. A double dose.

  • translate for us uni-language-re's

  • Je comprends parfaitement.

  • @bunkermunk

Malheureusement je ne comprends pas trés bien.

  • We'll take payment in Gold Bars Please..............I believe that is the translation

  • Listen and learn...
