@TexasBoyCapCity No not at all very nice clear image. The HD programs are out of this world.Ive yet to see any of the rainbow effect that some say you can see with DLP projectors and I use mine all the time.Still have the original bulb in it even going on 2 years using it.I got it in August of 2010.
@TexasBoyCapCity If you have one wall with nothing on it and its a clean wall meaning no surface marks like nail holes or dents and such.Just take the projector and project the image on that wall to the size you. Then mark where all 4 corners of the picture is.Then take painters tape and tape a straight line from corner to corner going to the outside of your marks. Then paint inside of the tape let it dry completely. After it dries using painter tape and paint a black frame around
Why not just use projector screen material on a frame?? I mean I don't get it. You spent 50$ on all that and you could have done the same thing for around 40$ and had it on a light weight frame that is much more moveable than a heavy piece of sheet rock! I don't get it.
@tecnolover2642 What's there to get? To each their own right? I didn't want something flimsy,I wanted something solid. Its not like it would be going on road trips or something.A lot of that low cost screen material isn't worth the money or the time to mess with it.Someone I know has it and mine just blows his away.He bought it off Ebay. Not saying all screen material is bad,but why take a chance on it.If you are using screen material then post a video and let me see what you are preaching about.
Woah, no need to get defensive here! I was just wondering what your reasoning was to do this over just using projection screen material since it is a lighter solution and would be more movable. If it's just about being more solid then that is cool but I haven't read anywhere that paint is better than projection material. If there is I want to know!
@tecnolover2642 Sorry guy didn't mean to sound defensive, please accept my apology for sounding that way. There is something called screen goo or something similar in name.I just wanted to build something nice and durable.I have 8 dogs lol and they are very high strung. So I really didn't want something they can sink the teeth into.I'd rather replace a 6 dollar piece of dry wall then screen material lol.I may invest on day on a screen.
@TYCUCVINCENT You just want to lighten the silverscreen to where its almost white.I dont know the exact measurement I used.I dont see where mixing it 30 to 70 would hurt. Then you can try that and go from there.
@TYCUCVINCENT Yes Behr silvercreen and I ended up adding some Behr ultra white to the silvercreen.Which gave me bright whites and I still had deep black color to it.Its something that you just have to mix around with.Just enough to lighten up the silverscreen is what I did but it still had a little tint to it.Hope this helps.
@MrYoda1972 Its 3d capable not ready. You have to buy something else to make it 3d ready.I cant remember what its called.I think if you have a 3d graphics card in your computer and run it through the projector then it will work that way.Thats what ive heard anyways.Just google it and read up on it.
@MrYoda1972 The projector I'm using goes up to a 300 inch screen I just dont have the room for a screen that size lol.You cant go wrong with the optoma gt700 or the gt720.
