They didn't change key at all. Eric posts on the 5th scale degree and ends on the 5th of the final chord, the tonic in the same key as they started.

yes but they started in a higher key than they did in the finals of the Barbershop Competition. I suspect the base wasn't feeling like he would hit the low D that is require in "Are there Lilac trees"

There are some amazing talents with people who are blind in barbershop. Every year I meet up with this one guy at International when you wanna sing with him you just say give me a Ab and he'll be right on pitch. It's amazing.
