I wish the patch points were along the top of the synth instead of the bottom. A couple of patches & you've got cables strewn all over the front of the machine! They get in the way of the tweaking! A bit daft really.

Is it just me or Why are most Dopefer Dark energy demos on you tube showing lame sequenced TB type analog drum type sounds? This thing is capable of great moogy leads, efx and super fat synth bass sounds. The filter is so sweet and the envelopes can be wicked fast. (I have two Dark Energies)

@RaialMusic yes (like sequences and more, as you see in the vid) BUT you can also simply connect your Dark Energy with usb to your computer (and send threw it midi-controls)

@impcirca1988 Of course. There are Softsynth Modulars like the Moog Modular V by Arturia or Reaktor by Native Instruments... But I recommed first using a "normal" Analogue Synthesizer Emulation like Prophet V from Arturia to get the Basics of substractive Synthesis. Starting with a Modular is too complex and frustrating i would say. You also have to know that the Dark Energy is a monophonic Synthesizer.(No Chords) Of course Softsynths sound different like Hardware. It's like CD vs Vinyl maybee.

it's Cubase SX2 (!!) We've been using it since 2004...never bothered updating because it works fine.

Yes, but it comes with an 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapter cable, so no worries there :)

i have a semi modular (mfb kraftzwerg, nice little box full of knobs and conexions) and i wanna use logic to sequence (is the only sequencer i have)... but i am really new into all this midi sequencing stuff... my problem is that, for example, i draw the kick in one track, and with midi i attach my synth and do the sound for the kick... but if i wanna do the snare i need to do it separatly, i am not able of doing a whole kit at the same time, only one sound... i have tried recording as audio
