@trazeebarb Nobody knows apart from NMA but the rumour was because of stuart's "lifestyle choices." he left 11th may 1985 (same day as the BCFC fire)
following that he had a brief stint with Loud before going back to building. He did alot of work for my old boss, built his garage, all but rebuilt his house. I worked with him for 4 years and became good mates.
He's in a band again now, Into The Souls,as well as still doing building work around Bradford
auto4union, u fool the mousse was a cheap copy of the original bass player, stu was the best these went down hill when he left we was there at the very beginning at jb,s dudley
Aha..!In my defence i could have meant written/recorded with the original bass player..!But "How could I have been so STUPID?!Started commenting in the opening bars!Duh..!This was from the "Raw Melody Men" video eh..?!
i saw NMA at portsmouth guildhall in 1988 and the levellers supported - i got clogged to death!!!- brilliant gig as expected ..smalltown england is so underated. justin sullivan is one of the best frontman ever
Yeah! this is one of they`r early tunes! When they still had the original bass player! This song pretty much sums up living in a small town in England!(Or Scotland in my case!)The more you hear the more you will get into them!
