Damn when he blanks out at 4:23 it always make me feel sad inside! I feel where John is coming from to lose the only Father Figure he had in his life! Great movie! My fav. out of the whole 4 films!
You know what they could have done was made John Get on the rope with him or have John tell the terminator that the police were after them and that they would not be safe. Great movie but disappointed that James Cameron forgot about that. The Terminator could have stayed with them for a while till he would be sure they were safe.
@andiback holy hell man, I never thought about that... thats almost exactly like the first movie. Maybe they did that on purpose for a sequel that never was ( I refuse to accept Terminator 3 as part of this series )
The unknown future rolls toward us. I face it, for the first time, with a sense of hope. Because if a machine, a Terminator, can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too.
This scene truly explores movie magic it really holds the x factor for the reasons to watch it and call your friends and say hey I was gonna watch this wanna come over the next day. I had to be 7 or 8 when I first seen it and it was undoubtly a reason why I wanted to be a film maker. I doubt a terminator movie lays in my future movie making seems to be a drifting art but I'd love to be a part of a story that excites you from the get go and leaves you with genuine smile at the end
That part when John repeatedly order him not to do... Is so heartbreaking it's almost painful to watch. He remembered that the T-800 somehow had to obey him and we can feel, from the firmness and determination growing into despair in his voice, that he's clinging to it as the very last hope he has to save his protector, whom has become his friend and father figure also. :'(
You know why this gets me even to this day, it is because of that damn epic theme song where images of my childhood flashes before my eyes. Life was simpler back then.
While it was somewhat nice to see more terminator movies; they should have stopped at 2. Sarah in the first was lead down a road to become more Cynical of the future, but then in the 2nd she in the end become a bit more Optimistic. So while the story is about John, the real story is about Sarah, as she comes to grips that there is some hope about the future and relation between man and machine, because the terminator was able to understand human emotions.
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is greatly inspired by Brad Fiedel's soundtrack work in the Terminator series. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
I can see why John Connor reacted like that, the only thing in his life as a father figure, As sarah said in a insane world it was the saniest choice.
i have watched this movie for more than 30 times , but every time i watch it again, i feel like the first time watching it , a weird feeling mixed with hope and fear .
It amazes me that are dislikes for this video, how can anyone hate Terminator 2 easily one of the best Sci Fi, action movies ever or the best movie, but still how?
What's really hard is when the T-800 says "I have to go away John" you can tell that it's trying to emote but cannot, being a robot. Hence the line "I see why now you cry..." because it's the only way it can show that it understands human emotion but cannot ever hope to express it. It's heartbreaking to watch. Everyone talks about Arnold not being able to emote or act and only succeeding as an emotionless robot. But that's what made him give a performance that many actors would kill for.
I think one of the most interesting things about this scene is that even if you like or dislike it, it still works as no one wants to see the terminator be terminated and its just such an epic ending scene! So many levels to this film ^^!
I think this would be more effective if they removed the "AIM SORRAHY JOHN AHAIM SAHRRY" lines. Just have the Terminator acting like a machine and then have him deliver the line at 2:22
I'm male and 27 and I'm not ashamed to say that this scene makes me cry every time I see it. It's truly an accomplishment when watching Arnold Schwarzenegger getting incinerated can get you choked up. This film is a masterpiece.
Too bad Hollywood had to tarnish it's legacy with that god awful shit stain known as T3 Rise of the Machines. Words cannot express how much I fucking hate that movie!
gotta say a movie about a robot from the future seems like a stretch, but this movie makes it a masterpiece. the message is so moving, even i get hit when i see the ending.
If only James Cameron had continued to write the sequel to this Terminator (I heard he was writing another one before he lost the rights to the movies)...nobody else but him can write a storyline for it in my opinion, at least that is canon to this.
I know there's a lot of hate of the 3rd and 4th Terminator movies, but I don't think they're bad. It's true, they don't give you an emotional feeling like the first 2 did, but their storylines weren't bad. But T2 is always gonna be the best.
I was 9 years old, my sister took me to the cinema, i remember clearly that the ticket queue was huge and almost around the postal office. I was impressed that time and I am still impressed now and I'm 29. The most fucking awesome movie that a man can see.
Just like this movie...Life will eventually come to an end. The Bible says that we will die once and then be judged by God. If you ever lies, stolen, lusted after a woman/guy, hated, taken God's name etc your on your way to Hell. But Jesus (who is God) came and died on the cross taking our sins upon His sinless self. We broke the law He paid our fine. We need to repent (turn away from sin) and trust in Him alone and we will be forgiven and enter in Heaven when we die
you know what ? actually you are right ! according to the script to T2, the movie begins with a scene where Connor destroys finally skynet - right after skynet sends the T1000 back in time. Connor sends his old buddy back and "knows what happens" ... so Terminator 2 tells how the Terminator saves connor from T1000 and the connor in the future lead the humanity to victory - the end.
Now i know why they make the credit reel, just to let us know all of it was a movie. If not for the credit reel i was would have been convinced otherwise!

terminator 3 never should have happened

terminator 3 and 4...fucking tragedy of movie making. They should have just left it here as it was. Same as Aliens 1 and 2 being ruined by aliens 3 and 4.
