@The3Dmasta Fede Álvarez, the director of "Ataque de Pánico!" didn't steal the idea, 'Geweldenaren Van Ver' is related as a inspiration of "Ataque de Pánico" and in the End Credits of the shot Booby de Groot (from House of Secrets) is named. Then it's highly probably that Fede Álvarez used this idea under permission of the creators of 'Geweldenaren Van Ver'. Both are good shots in different ways and if Sam Raimi have choose Fede to work with is not for the idea but the way he shoot, he's so good
@B4ULeon No matter how you turn it... "Ataque de Pánico!" is based on the idea of "Geweldenaren van Ver". And who gets "real" succes with whatever he/she does is based on "hype" rather than anything else.
@freejaytea No, I don't turn nothing. Fede Álvarez is a good director and he design the shots perfectly, and his way to film is quite good... that's the reason why of his succes and the reason that Sam Raimi choose him to remake "Evil Dead" (that isn't a Sci-Fi film, you know). Anyway, the idea of "alien robot invaders" is really old, is not original from "Geweldenaren van Ver", Have you noticed about "War of the Worlds" and all the old stuff? Nowdays almost nothing is really original, damn God!
@thediamondjames Oh no!!! Bloody Hell! American Ninja is just a piece of shit since it's third part... The two first films were good... HAIL TO MICHEL DUDIKOFF!!! :D
@The3Dmasta He, he!!! Yeah, and I respect your opinion, of course, only you know what you prefer and it's something subjetive. I´ve just said that it's uncorrect that Fede Álvarez STOLE this idea, he just besed his film on this one with permission of the autors.
I don't really want to react to this, but honesty puts me on the treshhold to say: "We are honoured that a 2 week job with a lot of inspiration got this much attention, evolving into another "trailer" and moving on to a hollywood feature film".
Stealing idea? Give me a break. Are you people trying to say that there's NEVER been a "giant robots destroying everything in sight" film before this one? Or maybe archaic robot design is original? It's all been done before. Neither of them is original, just another take on an old formula.
Nothing wrong with someone doing it better and longer. I like the other version better. Shows real directorialship. Geweldenaren Van Ver just shows technical skill. Thanks for the ideas!
Oh PLEASE AlexandraLovesActing , don't Hollywood do it all the time? Remakes and remakes, movies based on books / series / superheroes, endless franchises? U fail big time to see how Hollywood LOVES to "remake" old ideas...
@AlexandraLovesActing Uhhhh but americans take dozens of korean and european movies every year and remake them too, what's the difference with latinos remaking them? Americans (north americans, of course) also remake latin soap operas such as Ugly Betty, so what's the difference?

@B4ULeon Yeah, we should remake the stuff that was diabolical, but in a good way. American Ninja 5 is screaming for a serious remake!

A shame that this gets practically no credit for Fede's success, i mean, it was this guys idea. However, Fede's was better!

More proof that no-one reads the comments in the side bar! How can this only have 5000 views when it's linked to from a video that has 5000000?

@caamha obviously this was first. the guy who made panic attack said he took the idea from this video....duh
YeseniaFilthXx 2 years ago 2
This came first - it's highly probable that Alvarez was inspired by this.
