These cars dyno anywhere from 280-325 at the wheels depending on year and trans/ options... a ls1 is an ls1 all of them have 345-350 at the crank doesn't matter if its an ss or z28.
@DirtBikeDummy88 Maybe 380 flywheel hp, but not wheel hp, which is what counts. And you're not going to pick up 55 hp from an air intake and long tubes. My car with similar mods put down 323/332.
@jimbo98z both of u guys got ripped off to be honest. i have only intake and long tubes and make 331/347 @ the wheels. and yes i also have 01SS. by the way he has more than intake and longtubes
@mrtriplesix Are those SAE corrected numbers? And if so, what intake? Those numbers aren't impossible, they are just high for a bolt on car. 380 out of a bolt on car is no believable on a realistic dyno though. You also can't just take the highest number you get either, some dynos will read artificially high. I made 342/370 on one dyno with only a lid and long tubes, but I know it's high, so I don't advertise it.
@jimbo98z the numbers i told u are my dyno numbers and they are corrected and are from a mustang dyno. i have the dyno slip to prove it. his 380 does sound about right if hes talking about at the crank. we ALL know hes lying if hes talking about at the wheels. plus he has more mods than me, and im at about 360ish-370 at the crank. i have the SLP intake and BBK long tubes

how much did u pay for your ss i wanna get one i got a 96 rs im gonna repaint itin the spring then sell it for 4500 thats kbb value its got 145000 but runs strong fast for a little 3.8 v6 i only its a nice car i keep the inside spotless i just need to replace fron nose assembly and rear bumper it will be worth it ill post a video when i get it repainted im doing it my self

You should do the same. And someone didn't love it I see, the paint is horrid. Check and see if its a clone, because that thing doesn't breath like an LS6...

i was saying SS models are overrated compared to z28s. i know the ss-s have slightly more horsepower thanks to ram air and a better flowing cat-back exhaust (that still isnt decent compared to any after-market exhaust. and the reason they dyno for less than they are rated is because of parasitic loss threough the drive train. in reality, at the crank they have about 350. but i'm sure you know that...
yes i know that, and that was my point, they are underrated because gm rated them at 325 at the crank but that is what they make to the wheels, and that is why i am saying they are underrated.
