i'm in opera choir of nuermberg and i'm gonna sing with in carmen (i'm 14, i'll be a child ;) )
and i'm so excited, it will be sooo awesome ! (((:
i'm so lucky and glad i got the chance to sing with in an opera like that. i also played with at la bohème and 'Hänsel und Gretel' and i will sing aat 'der ferne Klang'.
it makes me happy to be on stage and sing. not everybody can do that !
I completely agree with you. I didn't mention his interpretations of Beethoven, Brahms and Schubert although I find them no less outstanding, my mistake, I was focussing on opera. Thank you for your advice about the CD-only version of Beethoven's 7th, I had only watched the 1983 version. I'll listen to it. Kleiber is THE conductor, and, from what I've read, a really pleasant and humourous man as well...
5* That is amazing conducting with style and elegance... I like the sound Kleiber creates whenever he conducts an orchestra. He is a wonderful conductor especially when it comes to opera (Rosenkavalier, Carmen, Fledermaus, Freischütz...)
Thanx. Beautiful production. Today it seems to be popular today to take a composer's creation and twist it into something totally unrecognizable from the original libretto.
Schade der Komponist konnte den Erfolg nicht miterleben.

Step one: Aquire Soviet-Era tank.
Step 2: Drive it over your boss' car while listening to this.
Step 3: As he come's running out of his house, screaming, turn the volume up.
Step 4: Laugh.

Wow that's a good production. But I would rather there were subtitles because I don't understand what they're singing...
