went three times for800miles to ljubljana,slovenia in81to see them,coz the authorities,commies at the time,abandoned the concert,but worth the effort,tiki,belgrade,serbia
First Discharge record I ever bought back in the late 80's in high school, Here Nothing.... I was blown away, way more intense than most of the UK bands at that time.
@ukdk123 Bambi ended up playing in Dr & The Crippens till early '90's as plain old "Dave". My old band Intense Degree toured Belgium/Holland with them in '91 and I was blown away when I learned that "Dave" was Bambi!!! He thought I was taking the piss when i went on about the drums on Discharge's" "Why?" 12" from '82 but I looked him dead in the eye and told him straight how great it was, and still is.
Yes, mate. This gig was in March 83. The varukers and GBH supported Discharge at the Victoria Hall in May 1981. I wasnt at that one, but I did see Discharge & GBH the following night at Birmingham Cedar Club.
Discharge, GBH and English Dogs. It was going to be Anti-sect but they pulled out because of the high ticket prices. Followed the band around on this tour and would love a nice copy of this show and was filmed from the balcony and from the side of the stage.
Cal never wanted it released because of the people jumping onto the stage. Good memories.
i saw some GBH footage from this show....it was of much much much better quality....makes me wonder if there's better quality footage of discharge's set....
I was a fucking Discharge head in 83 & but only got to see Discharge 2 or 3 times in L.A. USA. I was always blown away by Cal spinning that mic! I love this footage..Amazing! I have this footage. I think I bought it off e-bay. Thanks for putting it up.
FANTASTIC!! Saw them in 82 or 83 (not sure those years were a bit a blur) It was in Leiden, Holland that night some windows got broken. Different times we were all young kids (15, 16) living in squads. Hell I'm still covered in 25 year old tattoo's Yeah sex, drugs and discharge
I was lucky enough to see them live loads of times from 80 - 83, and I'm so glad you younger guys can see this footage and realise what real punk rock is like.
sounds as good as most other live reordings from back then. The ones we used to buy on tape were shit. Most bands sounded like shit live as well so it is pretty authentic sounding
Cal is the man.Rat is good for the varukers not for discharge

ok whats the difference between european slamdancing and american slamdancing in the early 80ss? did the british do the pogo more while doing it?
and american punks were basically bodies flying everywhere and skanking on stage crashing into everyone else more ?
