  • recently dled this app. for some reason, it will not email. i click send and the email page closes and nothing happens, it never gets to my inbox. have you run into this problem?

  • docscanner is way better than this one

  • Thanks! I was trying to figure out how to keep the scan in colour instead of black and white. Great application, I really like it and now I like it even more.

  • No faxing though.

  • how did u manage to put 5 icons in the tray below on your iPhone?

  • @asafscher his phone is jailbroken. he probably has 5 icon dock

  • you can use your camera and the Photoshop for iphone to do the same thing. probably with better results

  • No OCR? Lame...

  • This does ROCK!! For the iPhone

  • I usually take normal pictures of Docs, theres no difference.

  • Wait, what? So this is not an OCR type of program? IT's basically taking a jpeg and making it a PDF? Meh. I thought it was recognizing the characters on the page and turning it into an editable document. Pass.

  • Been using similar app on my android `Htc Desire`for quite some time now. It`s called scan2pdf and there are many more.

It works very well and the quality is impressive.

  • been using it for about a month now...works very well

  • Just saying, that was a horribly taken photo, haha.

  • mh... cool video but not very impressing...

  • It should be called JPG to PDF Converter...

  • whats d big fuss??? one just takes a picture of a document and send it by e-mail from his phone...this system has been used for over 2 years now..nothing innovative at all

  • This is crap...its just turns a picture to a pdf...no biggie. You can just view the picture for reference, dont even need this app. A good app would be to turn the picture to actual letters so you can edit the document!

  • great app

i hope to see it runing on android

  • @d7me try scan2pdf on android

  • yeah, people can't afford a 50€ scanner but they can afford a 800€ iphone

btw i always love that beautiful bumper covering those beautiful aluminum antennas

  • are u with pocket now or technobuffalo??

  • can a student afford an iPhone?

  • @keal5528 a lot of college students have iphones

  • Thanks for recommending!

  • I can't believe its free

  • my problem with this review is that you don't into any detail about the quality of the scan. Everyone knows we can't use digital cameras as a replacement to dedicated scanners because the lack of focus and detail of the image, yet you didn't even touch on it, which tells me, the quality is likely pretty poor

  • Meh.

All this is is an app that takes a picture from your device, crops it and turns it PDF, all of which really should be features that are built into phones as advanced as the iPhone.

Something this app should have is the ability to save as other image filetypes, or even better, identify letters on a page and turn them to a text or pdf file.

  • GREAT VIDEO!

    thx

  • hmm interesting

  • (Thumbs up if you agree)

May I suggest that you do a "whats in my iPhone" videos where u review and show basically whats in your iPhone of Apps.

Keep up the awesome vids. Luv the channel.

  • I'm going to thumb this down because you should have put a link to download the file to see how "well" it performs.

It doesn't look like it does any kind of OCR so it's not like you can actually "fill" out the form.

Also I'd love to know how this app does on 3G or below iPhones and equivalent iPod Touches.

Basically it looks like it is just skipping you a step from taking a picture and then running OCR on the picture.

Scanners are $30 go buy one! ...or go to Kinko's.

  • JAILBROKEN! JAILBROKEN JAILBROKEN JAILBROKEN!!!!

    I love it. :)

  • Handy app, just downloaded it, thanks! :-)

  • this was available on windows mobile long time ago

  • @ramo1050 - I got my Scan2PDF long time ago and it works great... iPhone and Apple again are just jumping the life into the old stuff and try to spin it as new technology that has nothing to do with reality.

  • OMG 9 fag's in 12 minutus

  • woah that looks cool

  • If this doesn't have OCR then it's pointless. Why not just send yourself a jpeg?

  • @DigitalGamma EXACTLY!

  • Why do you need it as a pdf...?

  • @hdwblade because by design PDFs automatically format for perfect one-page printing
