Helms Deep- Aragorn Battle (Part 1 of 2)

I finished this battle in like 3 or 4 minutes never getting attacked. If you like, watch my vid. of the final battle. trolls nazgul and sauron in 12 minutes. Sauron in just 90 sec.

A battle quite like this happens at minas tirith courtyard too. I finish it in about 3 minutes, never even taking a hit. I can post that to prove it. It's actualy way harder with those big trolls. cool vids btw :-)

I have unlocked arrows of sleep but i can only use it to kill 1 person, how come yours kills every foe?

@Hendyy20 - You have to get his passive skills up. Check on your passive skills and it should have something that allows Elegost to hit multiple foes instead of just one.

@Hendyy20 - You get passive skills by ranking up your guys level wise. Just watch my tutorial on how to train your guys. Hopefully that helps. If not, PM (private message) me and ill try to do my best to help you out :)

Aragorn is fantastic... Look closely, at the end of his 4-hit attack he is holding his sword reversed, like a ninja. I didn't see him change grip O.O

I want to back track but it find it kinda borring to do that, but at the same time i know it's nesesary(sry for the spelling). Btw what character(s) do you think is the best to use on Helms Deep? And finnaly any tips on how to survive long?

my characters are: eadoen( dont know if i spell right) hadhod and berethor

eaoden always dies he has less armor and health

and i struggled where you fight those beserkers and troll with no ally

ONLY CAUSE I WAS WEAK OF HEALTH IN THE START

My 3 main characters in battle are Idrial/Berethor and Elegost. I will swap Berethor with Hadhod at times, Morwen and Eaoden are useless for me. Learning Berethor's leadership skills/Idrial's Spirit Powers and Elegost' Bow/Ranger Crafts is enough. Hadhod melee skills are a damage dealer, very awesome. Just IMO =)

How have your characters got so many attacks? Did you do a lot of backtracking while you were playing to get moves? I usually get Mountain Shield and Flames of Ruin before I go to this fight because I struggle with the ones straight after haha!

Yes, alot of backtracking is necessary if you want to succeed throughout this game with ease. Best spot to train/boost would be right before the big 3 part Helm's Deep battle. I have been planning on making a tut video for this, but idk if i will ever get to it lol.

@cshepherd13 You don't need to do any backtracking and still get everyones skills if you know how. Find a pack of enemies and put them to sleep with Elegost's Arrows of Sleep (you need the Passive Skill Lingering Sleep as well), then use the combat item Arnor Mushrooms which gives you infinite AP, then you just use your skills over and over again until you've learned every single one.

@cshepherd13 And it doesn't take too long if you use one character at time and retreat everyone else out of the battle. Bear in mind you need to use a skill over and over that does not damage the enemy, or it will wake them.

@JazzerCL777 I know this is an old comment, but what I found worked best was in Moria, kill off the Goblins until there's only one archer left. Try to get Berethor's Royal Grace Leadership ASAP, as it helps with "farming" the skill points. With just one goblin archer, have Berethor taunt him, then feel free to spam your leaderships/spirit powers on Berethor, Idrial, and Hadhod. Hadhod can use Stone Shield on Berethor every now and then to make the Goblin do 0 damage. Bere's Royal Grace fuels AP.

But....since you brought it up. The characters in this game are not real to the original works of Tolkien. They were simply made up bc EA didnt want you to showcase the usual characters. I probably know more about LotR in general than you do,,,,,,

yea this game is like Final Fantasy but with LortR theme. its a pretty good game if you like RPGs. btw Aragorn's "Bane of Sauron" reminds me of Cloud's Omnislash only Aragorn's move is 4-slash while I think Cloud's is 16-slash

Thats a good strategy, just keep on using arrows of sleep to stun the uruk-khai. And using standfast to prevent them stunning u. U barely lost any health.

would you reccomend restarting just to make berethor better at leadership moves if you're most of the way through mordor? I had no idea those moves were so good so i just meleed with him. What would your advice be??

It really depends on what you prefer. I almost never use Elegost, and I've only trained leadership moves up to Stand Fast and Fellowship Grace. I tend to abuse Gondor Rampage, Water Stallion, and Flames of Ruin/Dragon Calling.

I recently found that certain characters are better than others against certain enemies, so I try to use all of them as much as possible. The three that I probably use the most are Berethor, Idrial and Eaoden.

The problem with Eaoden is that he is that last memeber to join, and he comes in so late that its hard for him to keep pace with the other, older members. Ill admit the spear-men has some damn good moves, but they can only be attained if you train extensively, which deters alot of gamers, since most are very impatient lol.
