I'm glad to hear that Keith finally has a headstone it's a long time coming. I read awhile ago that the family at the time of Keith's death decided not to have a headstone put on Keith's grave due to there concerns about vandalisim and graffitti. It's sad that it took so many years for Keith to get what he deserved so long ago. It's comforting to know when fans go to pay there respect they have something to look at not just dead bushes. Regardless what your feelings are he deserves this and more
@jka4311 I am glad too, a generous doner and fan must have put it up. His grave won't be such a lonely place any longer. When I go to London will drop by again.
hey yeah i dont know if anybody knows or not but keith now has a headstone :) i went there a couple of weeks ago with my nan and he has one :D i would put up a pic but dont know how? if anybody knows that would be great :)
@Diddleywah Thanks a lot! I tried to go to go to as many places as I could in my spare time, since I was in London for working reasons. Actually I had been to Keith's grave also the year before but this time I also got the chance to see Eel Pie, so I decided to make a little tribute to Keith Relf, a very talented musician, underrated by far.
Cannot understand the " no marker " excuse ,if the family thought like that ,why a burial and not cremation ? . A great talent and one of the best groups of the 60s .
wow i love england..i'm italyan and here is often sunny and i love cloudy and rainy weather! i love everything's british! thanks for this amazing video!
You did make me smile about the Flowers message you sent me,(oddly not all your message appears here,on this page).I agree with you I feel the same. But I am pleased you feel you did get something out of your visit.
That is an interesting view and I'm sure he is in a better place... Still sad alot of fans go to pay there respect and and are saddened to see nothing but grass... That is certainly there decision and I respect that...
Why go and stand on some wet grass and stare at nothing,to pay their respects,Play his music and spread the word about Keith.Keith would want this far more than, people standing around a sad cemetary feeling depressed.
Thanks , I also fell in love with Richmond, it's so romantic....it must have inspired the Yardbirds! Eel Pie has been too heavily built though I'am afraid. I hope Jim likes this too!
Goodness, how depressing to see all that us brits have destroyed over the years.Only a very few fans know what went on around Richmond.Pretty soon even that will be lost forever.
Yes I was amazed at seeing all the "private signs" on Eel Pie Island! They told me that the Sixties club where the Ybirds performed burned down but people think that it has been purposely set on fire and turned into flats.
I know that on the coffin were the words to Silver Tightrope marked on it.Keith really was a bit special,no matter what the problem he just saw it through, when he nearly died in 1964,his attitude was simply"Well, whats in nearly dieing". That was Keith.
Hi; what Isent was in two parts, the first never made it on this page, for whatever reason,Have met most of the guys who were in the 60s group ,and got to meet some of their families and friends,as we are all around the same age group.
Hi, I spent well over ten years with a monthly fanzine called Yardbirds World, which covered all things Yardbirds and related,I still have the web site on delphi.
Thanks for sharing these info Yardbirdmackay! So Keith is buried here after all....I do catch his personality though and really appreciate it, I am Sixties woman too & fully understand the spirit of that period.
Love talking about The Yardbirds,so its no problem me sharing any little knowledge I may have. The sixties was such a special time for all who lived through it.Many differing views on life and death and is this all there is etc etc..Sure the earthly remains of Keith are there.Whilst I share the thoughts of others that Keith is now elsewhere.

@Yardbirdsfan I was thinking of getting the Keith Relf fans together to put a stone up for him, but these are delicate matters....

Still no marker or headstone either.... Keith deserves so much more.. Thank god for you Amber and all you do ...

Keiths family did not want a marker or headstone, their view is that He is not there,he is in a far better place.Must admit I like that view.

There you go, at last I found my successor!!! Well done, 68!
Now, I don't have to pay tribute to Keith anymore!... (To be honest with you, I've got enough trouble taking care of Jim as it is!... ;-)

@yardbirdmackay So you think this is the kind of burial Keith would have wished? I would have thought he'd prefer cremation too....

@68generation
Pretty sure his family had a better idea of Keiths wishes than you or I.
