Howard talks to artie on the phone alot, and you would know that if you actually listened. Artie has said he feels so bad about what he put his friends threw and is giving it time. I know all about the unfunny untalented Artie Lange and the difference between the hilariously entertaining Golden Years in the 90's and the horribly unfunny unentertaining Satellite Years. It's NIGHT & DAY! Don't be so gullible about Howard's personal relationship with the heroin/alcohol addicted Artie Lange. It's probably not much more than your relationship with Howard. Thank-you.

Now, as for there relationship, it was real. When Artie admitted that Heroine probable caused his break up with Danna Artie began to cry. Howard went to a break and went to Arties side to talk to him, as did Gary. They showed that on Howard TV. As a host he wouldnt have done that, as a friend he did.

@StrnFn9099 E) As for his comedy shows, he has sold out a hell of alot of shows in his time, and he has said that he owes being on the Howard Stern show that. Not to mention the majority were benefits which he did not get paid, instead giving the money to people with cancer, and the less fortunate. He has also been to Afghanistan for a USO show. Artie's comedy was funny, and only people who are over sensitive hated it. Artie also had a heart of gold, but had his share of problems.

It'd be nice to have Artie back, but as Howard said, he thinks the early mornings were killing him, he wanted a way out, and sadly Artie took the coward way out, he loved the people, but I don't think he loved the job. If Artie is happier off the show, I hope he never goes back on Howard Stern, because he's a great comedian. I love both Howard and Artie, but I'd be happy to know he's happy in whichever direction he takes. Show is still good without him, just like no Jackie (We need him back too)
