  • Astonishingly beautiful. Just when I think I've seen everything that's being done in modern ME fusion...I would love to see her live. Have to find a way to get back to New York...

  • So unbelievable Autumn! Please, do consider coming to Brazil!

  • @LeylaAlJamila This dance is a theatrical work with a fantasy concept. There is more information in my blog. If you are interested, look for the link in the description underneath the video.

  • Absoluteley stunning!!

  • Great!

    Best regards from Mexico City!

    Tulsa Nadezshada

  • really awesome.. I wish I could dance like that... keep the good work...

  • I have been learning from your Beautiful Technique DVD. It has a wealth of information, little nuances that I didn't learn in class or from any other DVD. It's wonderful.

  • This is beautiful dancing, incredibly fluid and fairy-esque. I recently got your Beautiful Technique DVD I can't wait to watch it!

  • ohh, i wish i could dance like this fairy...

  • Absolutely, beautiful. Makes on feel like they were transported back to the Middle ages.

  • This performer is such a beautiful dancer.

  • This is the most beautiful and graceful dance I have seen in a long time. You are such a lovely and inspiring dancer!

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Delightful, as always!!! :)

Love your theatrical performances. They keep inspiring me to push the boundary, and not cave in to traditionalist demand. ;)

  • Absolutely stunning, I wasn't expecting such unique mastery when I searched medieval belly dance! Your musicality is so original and creative and everything just flows so well, it keeps you interested from start to finish. Now I'm on to a marathon of your videos this morning! (then a stern drilling session this afternoon for me!)

  • Autumn, you are my favourite belly dancer, I love your dance. I dream of taking some lessons from you. I hope you will come to Poland one day.

And this video, and also "Enchanteress" are the best videos on youtube!

  • @KatiaBelly Thank you so much! I will be in Poland Oct. 22 - 24, 2010.

  • Autumn rose ...gorgeous!

  • Absolutely exquisite!

  • Wonderful dance Autumn Ward!

  • what's the beautiful music in this video? Where can I get it? I LOVE your instructional DVD, by the way!!

    Fiona xoxox

  • @FionaJameson Music: "Flos ut Rosa" by Rondellus. The track comes from the CD "Carmina Sanctorum," and a free download is also available on the Rondellus website

  • Perfect!!

  • i have your dvd beautiful technique an i love it......wonderful teacher an dancer! thanks!

  • Beautiful !!!!!

  • I really love watching this performance and was wondering if you have an instructional dvd of it for sale?

  • @goddessacelestial Thank you! I don't teach this choreography, because the music is so unpredictable. (To learn more, see my blog post linked in the description below this video.) I teach "Enchantress," another choreography with a medieval concept, on "Fantasy Bellydance:Magic," and I teach the foundations of the basic technique I use in all of my dances on "Beautiful Technique." Both are available from my website and other outlets. Search here on YouTube for clips.

  • Magical - I love Autumn Wards work. - Just beautiful

  • Wow, that was fantastic!

  • Cool :)

  • STELLAR performance!!!

  • This is just beautiful and inspiring, and you are so fluid! I agree with whoever mentioned how well you interpret the music!

  • lovely

  • @ByzantiumCA "Flos ut Rosa," by Rondellus

  • this is the only dance video I love to watch again and again. It makes me happy and I can't be bored of it.

  • @firshania me too i watched it allready 200 times this 2 last days and it's never boring for me! Autumn's performence is very graceful and i like her smile while dancing, she's irradiant.

  • What a beautiful dancer - fabulous technique but taken to the next level with the interpretation of the music. I'd love to see her in person or take a workshop with her!

  • i just read your comment and thought I might share something with you - i am currently waiting DESPERATELY for an instructional dvd (beautiful technique from step 1) with this dancer, Autumn Ward! you can find the trailer on youtube! i did not know her before, fell for the trailer, and am now watchign her performances which make me want to get the dvd even more!

thought you might be interested as well :)))))

  • @dinavienna Thank you Dina! The marketing of "Beautiful Technique" is more oriented toward traditional belly dance, but the content covers foundations for the style I use in all of my dances, including this one. The video is available for purchase all over the place, but you can also purchase it directly from me, via my website.

  • I love this dance more everytime I watch it. Wouldn't you consider uploading on youtube more of your dancing in this style? And thank you for sharing this one.

  • @Kandire I would love to upload more, if there were more to upload! Developing and rehearsing high quality work is expensive and time-consuming, and it's very difficult to muster the resources to create a non-commercial artistic project like this one. I really appreciate the encouragement, though, and knowing that the work is valued makes it easier to contend with the challenges of getting it made. I too hope I'll have a new "medieval" belly dance to post sometime soon!

  • Beautiful, made me think, besides of a medieval scene, in rohan XD faeries and elves

  • What a pleasure to watch. :)

  • Lovely backbend and I love the turkish fold at the end. Very graceful and elegant.

  • Magickal!!!

  • That was a beautiful dance. very elegant and period oreinted. What song was that?

  • I don't think it's supposed to be a historical piece, I think it's a fantasy/fusion dance. Costume looks a bit ATS to me. Autumn, can you clarify?

  • @Arwen672 Nothing to clarify! :-) “Medieval” belly dance, as shown in this clip, should most definitely be considered a fantasy concept. While it’s true that the historical roots of belly dance stretch back to antiquity in the Middle East, there’s no historical basis for placing belly dance in the British Isles or Northern Europe during the middle ages, and it’s very unlikely that *any* dance of this era would have the formalized vocabulary and precise body lines shown in "Rose."

  • @lunastar3 "Flos ut Rosa" The artist is Rondellus.

  • just gorgeous. bellydance beautifully fused!

  • how lovely!!

  • Awesome. just amazing, i can imagine i,m watching something from history.

  • May I ask where you got this beautiful outfit? I've searched in vain for years to find a decent belly dancing outfit, and you have some very beautiful ones featured on your website.

  • @CrimeofP Most of the pieces are handsewn. I'm wearing a turkish vest over a peasant blouse, and an Egyptian-made scarf plus 2 layers of 3-panel circle skirts over shalwar. If you would like to sew pieces like these, the construction is pretty straightforward. (Try Atira's patterns.) To find readymade pieces, try searching not only for belly dance but also for fantasy/faire costumes with search terms like "renaissance faire" "wench," "gypsy," "pirate," etc. Best of luck!

  • Autumn is very versatile

  • You are one of my favorite dancers, thanks for sharing.

  • this music is so beautiful and relaxing. and her dancing is very nice.

  • Wow! This was amazing!!! I really like this "fantasy/fusion" -- thank you for sharing it!! I loved the way you interpret the music. Very pretty, very exciting, very very nice! Lovely!

  • What a gorgeous sexy belly :-)

  • Beautiful. Wonderful.

  • What's the name of this song??

  • @Focusyn "Flos ut Rosa" The artist is Rondellus.

  • Great! Really! I´ll save the link!

  • Wow. This is so graceful. Your hands are hypnotic.

  • this is the best belly dance i have ever seen

  • beautiful Whats the song called?

  • @frostidew "Flos ut Rosa." The artist is Rondellus.

  • @AutumnWard Thank you :))

  • Beautiful dance! I just wish the backround or scarf color were different. Her elbow down kinda lloks disconnected from her body because the scarf blands in with the backround. Other than that, it looks wonderful!

  • Absolutely Enchanting, graceful and very play setting. You paint the most beautiful image, it is so story telling. Loved it absolutely loved it.

  • Beautiful.

  • This is lovely!!! Thank you sooo much for sharing this dance.

  • I was in the audience for both of Autumn's delightful performances at Fantasy Bellydance. She proves that bellydance is best by being danced well, with subtlty and grace rather than over-the-top. She has remarkable carriage, flexibility and range. She is a perfect vessel for this dance style. Beautiful, Autumn. I am a big fan!

  • Thank you for the performance that open my heart and eyes Autumn.

  • Autumn, you have an amazing and unique presence, and there is no one else like you. I'm glad you're becoming less shy about showing the bag of tricks in your amazing techncial range, and excited to see where you'll be going next. I say move over, Rachel Brice, and hello to the East Coast.

  • 5* Your performances are so unique and enjoyable. You are also so beautiful and sultry. Mesmarizing! All together is irresitable multiple viewings. Thanks for posting again. I look forward to all of your posts.

  • Beautiful as always with the perfect ending! The music was so enchanting, loved it!
