@jebenteenmongool1 Mine is a Gravity 45" Spoon nose. It can be easily purchased off the internet. The internet IS your most consistent source to find the board that is perfect for you. Sector 9 has saturated the skate stores with boards leaving little for the myriad of other designers. Also ordering off the internet is rarely more expensive than what you find in skate shops. Sorry for the uneccasary length of this comment.
i guess ionno sometimes your going too fast and you see grass so you use it to slow down but whats also cool, is an offroad longboard they are SIIIICK!
So? my point is to LEARN to dot it. It;s just a suggestion cuase most longboarders are unaware that you can ride off-road if the ground is dry enough. It's a great skill though, it allows you to transfer from one sub-strate to the next.
hmm after seeing some of these longboarding videos i kinda regret my first board being a evo-black tree, its a low ride, good for downhill but, i wanna do all, so i shoulda got a free rider or sumpin eh?
thats not always true at all. a 42" isnt suitable for many things, it is hard to ride in crowded downtown areas and is to long for alot tech slides.
i wouldnt sugest kryPtonic wheels either unless your on a budget. Abec 11 makes the highest quality wheels for almost every kind of riding. I would suggest gumballs or retro zigzags, somewhere in the range of 78a and 83a (hardness of the wheel)
Do you long board off Road? If so, post a vid. I saw one of your vids, it was good quality. Anyway, you seem to have a lot of advice on this style of riding, and this style needs more promotional videos. It is good for people to know that they can use their long boards to take short cuts through grassy, or rocky areas.
Im 24 and I think Kryptos are awesome! Although currently Im using Sector nines equivalant.
i can post a vid with some off road riding, i do it aswell if it seems like a good time to do it. kryptonics arnt bad wheel, you can just pay $10 more to get really high quality wheels.
Riding down stairs scratches up the bottom of the board but who cares? The grass will not hurt your board, but if it is wet it will get your board stuck in the mud.
Just buy an all terain board off of ebay for 90, and its retail is like 700. I love mine, alot better than longboarding.

what wheel are you using i mean how much MM???
and one thing more do you lose much speed in teh grass?
algunick 4 years ago
I use a softer durometer, 77mm. Use tall wheels. yes you will always lose speed in the grass. make sure it's dry. winter is a greta time to practice.

The most important thing is to have a board at least 42'' long and large wheels. I recomend krytonic wheels for diverse kinds of riding.

do not do this!!!! it will completely screw the heck out of your board, the wheels, trucks, and berings...
eb2uoY 4 years ago
Any damage to your hardware is marginal at best. I did screw up my ankle though.
blacklungsjoe 4 years ago
yea w/e but they have made wheels and berings and all that other crap made for this...
